As a reminder, the world was changed in the past. And all anyone could do was complain.

Lasting invasions have been staged, and they complained.

On the other hand, this explains the screenshots we have seen of the cities in UO:KR. I have been wondering why all the cities look abandoned, the grounds choked with weeds. Looks like all the mayors and the infrastructure fled.
