As to the original idea its bloody fantastic but i dont think it will work all over sosaria.

I remember Lenar [A^K] and Prince Orlando [KT] during a mini version of this between Strongholt and Beaufort. It worked extremely well with buildings being captured and fought over rather than the whole town. Main reason it worked was because Prince Orlando (and those with homes in Beaufort) and me (as A^K GM and those within A^K) were happy for plots to be taken by others.

When LB controlled Minoc (moongates senario) afew years back they was also willing to leave the town (hiding in the woods) and work on getting Minoc back.This lead to some epic battles over Minoc and all had fun.

So its more than possible to do these things aslong as ye pick the right towns/places to run with.

Guess alot of precampaign ooc discussion is the key to findout who will truely get involved and which places to avoid.

Yup youll have to drag Moiraine and Irvyn screaming from Trinsic, they jealously guard THEIR town even though they havnt the guild to warrant running a town anymore

Yeah I'd like to see this taking progress aswell, and would be ready to help out with arranging stuff. I know the playerbase is far from ideal to start anything like this, but it's likely to change for the better with KR (at least for a while

The current battles between RP guilds have no concequences whatsoever, none, zip. No matter what the outcome of the battle, both sides go home and the next week no one even remembers what were they fighting for (and sadly, in many cases, there wasn't a reason to begin with).

I would love to see a big, juicy campaign going on, with territories occupied and lost. If any of the GMs think they won't budge from their home even temporarily, then they should get their heads out of their arses and smell the coffee. This is exactly what the stagnant RP scene of Europa needs!

The Northern Realms have a pretty perfect set up for this sort of thing.

Minoc..free to be fought over (to my knowledge no one claims it at present)

Cove...Town itself os held by the Barony BUT they also have a player town around it so to take Cove itself causing few problems for the guild.

Vesper...Big potential there as they also have a player town on the outskirts of Vesper itself also the many islands of Vesper town are ideal for splitting the town up (Twoey has had an idea afew times before for splitting Vesper Town into provinces).

May be a good stageing point for the start of any major Sosaria wide campaign to test the waters.

There is no minoc.... unless you are refering to West Vesper.

Hell yeah! Bout time them Baron of this and Duke of that titles were finally earnt. If you ever pull this off, you can guarantee ill be back ingame.

Well the Warband Alliance is currently setting up our new HQ on the west side of Trinsic so we can help defend the town, should make Trinsic more interesting to attack with a couple extra guilds to help defend it.

We need more to attack it! Not defend it!
