Hello all, well i realy like the way KR looks, Just wanted to know if they anyone know what systems requirements you will need to run it? I know my desktop will have no trouble running it. But I also Play UO on my laptop. one reasion I ike the game is It is playeble on my laptop. 1.ghz AMD, with 640 MB of ram 16 of that goes to video, I might beable to set 32MB to video.

On a laptop, the hardest part is probably going to be video card compatibility.

so does this mean that my toshiba satellite is not going to play uo now? just like almost every other freaking game coming out? so now I have to buy a new computer for the new client??????????

Tell us what your specs are.

Can't really answer that question without knowing what model of Satellite you have, or what your system specs are.

Very rarely do laptops ship with graphics cards capable of playing games very well (unless you consider solitaire to be gaming). 90% of the laptops on the market are intended for home consumer or business use. Laptops that are designed as gaming rigs (ie. ones with decent video cards) are on the high end ($3,000+) and generally aren't available in the mass market unless you special order them. Remember, the current UO client is ANCIENT in computer years. That's why the current client runs on most decent laptops.

Most laptops just aren't meant for gaming. Looking at Toshiba's web site, though, the motto for the Satellite is "Quality meets affordability." All of the system specs I see for the current model Satellites are intended for home/office use, which I'm guessing applies to older models as well. My guess is that you might have trouble running the new client on your Satellite laptop.

Yes, I too have a poopy lap top with a 16 mb vid card! That's also why they are letting 2d stay around for longer. Otherwise I might start going on a killing rampage if I didnt have UO!

Well that in itself might be solvable. How much memory do you have now and what is the max that your laptop can handle?

i have 512meg right now, and I think it can go to 1gb

Bring your memory up to max, then you should be able to adjust the amount of memory that your graphics is using. Give me the model of your toshiba satellite and I'll see if I can get the info for ya.
