Does Eval + Anatomy give a dodge bonus?

I thought it was supposed to if it were 200 skill between the two.

I.E. 120 Eval 80 Anat

I'm not sure though.

I did a quick check on uo.com, but that site is so bloody out of date

Defensively, yes, they are the same, but unlike wrestling, the anatomy/evaluate formula does not give you any offensive prowess at all.

Does the anatomy/evaluate formula stack with wrestle/weapon skill?

Goodness, no. Just imagine the prospect of a player having the equivalent of 240 skill points in any skill?

Which is better: wrestling or parrying?

Two totally different concepts, that take quite a bit to explain. Short answer is that, if you have higher than grandmaster evaluate, parrying can be considered about the same as wrestling in terms of not taking damage. More on this later.

Why would anyone pick Anatomy over Wrestling?

I can see the 20 skill points being saved, but dis-arm is worth it.

So Eval+Anat functions as wrestling... so heres the next question -

Can you benifit from the eval+anat boost with a weapon in hand if you dont have the weapon skill?

Specifically...

If i am holding a staff of the magi (mageweapon) with 0 macefighting and have 100 anat and 100 eval, do i benifit from the wrestle-like defense boost or does the weapon throw it out the window? (obviously the character has magery)

I think that covers everything.

does magery count as a weapon skill then in that situation?

With a mage weapon it counts towards it. Just can't do any special moves with out the real skill
