I seem to recall those houses Decardo
Adri, after going through the basic roofing guide linked above, I think what you are trying to go after was something like this? (oh bah, nm, I saw the pic of the other one you were interested in... that follows a different pattern than the pic below! That one is following more along the lines of "normal" ish roofing patterns than the pic below... (no offense meant!))

these are ones that I helped VanQa with
Usually what I do when creating something like this, is most of the leaf tiles are on the roof. I first lay down a bunch of the rounded leaves at varying heights. it's really just random to what looks good at the time, but I usually try to put the level 6 tiles up near the northwest corner, and then some random places along the edges. Floor tiles go in underneath the roof, of water or grass. Then I place in the branches:
"remember the letter "V" "
Normally I choose the branches according to the shape of the letter "I" spreading out to form the letter "V" or roughly in that idea. Meaning, I choose branches that tend to go vertical towards the top northwest corner, and decrease the angle towards horizontal as I work down towards the southwest and southeastern corners. The "V" also says a bit about how the angle should look on either side. "\ " directions on the Western half and "/" facing branches on the eastern. so... " \ I / " (if that makes any sense?"
on lower floors, I will only add in a few token leaf roof tiles to fill in the gaps where needed for the overall view. With perhaps a few extra "branches".
Perhaps someday I'll make a picture diagram of this, but I hope that you at least get an idea from what I wrote...
