![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have been told 3 different things about the bugged quivers, which one is correct? A player tries to get some advice on the 'quiver debate' in UO U.Hall I haven't been playing much lately and when I came back I was told that if you have a bugged quiver of infinity that you will have either: 1.) It debugged and given back to you 2.) It taken away and replaced by an unbugged QofI 3.) It will simply be deleted and you are on your own I was hoping a GM/Dev could answer this question, since I keep getting different answers from other players. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeremy_EAMythic UO Community Coordinator It's either one or two - I don't know exactly what the process is (and I'm not sure you could tell the difference anyway ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeremy dont take this personal, but that is really lame. You should know. Or at least someone higher up should give you the answer. This is the type of thing that drives people nuts. There are no clear answers, and when one comes out, its in muddie water. Sorry but thats the plain truth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeremy_EAMythic UO Community Coordinator Oh, I can find out - but my point remains: If a GM picks up the quiver, does something to it, and hands it back, is that functionally different from the GM picking up the quiver, destroying it, summoning another one out of the ether, and handing that one to you? There may be a distinction I'm missing - if there is, I'm happy to go ask. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you could find out for us, that would be great. The reason I really want to know is that my bugged QoI happens to be dyed Luna White and I'd like it to stay that way. I'm sure there are others out there who used the Tokuno dyes as well and since they cannot be gotten thru gameplay any longer, that dyed quiver means more to alot of people now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeremy_EAMythic UO Community Coordinator Ah, I wasn't thinking about dyed items - those would make a difference. I checked with CS, and what happens is they try to fix it, and if they can't, they replace it. If they have to replace it, it wouldn't retain any dyed color. So... good question! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The debate annoyed this player though who thinks there are more important 'issues' to adress. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I still fail to see how this is some sort of ground shaking huge issue that even merrits a dev's time. So a guy can carry 4000 arrows in a quiver, he can do the same thing with 4 quivers... whooptie do. How about fixing things such as getting trapped in dungeons as a ghost because teleporters and such are broken(Hythloth Fel anyone?)... or fixing teleporters in general(Origin Fel Del is a VERY good example)... or fixing how damage works in PvP(still getting reports of outrageous damage that shouldn't be happening)... or fixing dumb pet AI(ie can't pathfind worth a damn and get trapped where monsters do not) And for the record, the bugged quivers were NOT all created by exploits... at one point, I made a regular quiver that would hold 4000 arrows while it was in my pack... no vendor or secure container stuff needed. Sold it before I knew any better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 8 not 4. 8 x 600 = 4800 a death vs 1 x 600 = 600 a death. 0 if blessed. That is the difference. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ![]() |

Now I can understand specific items crafted/looted, but any arty should be able to be "replaced" the same as a bugged quiver they can not fix. Problem then would be, proving something was lost/stolen/decayed so it doesn't get abused. They need to re-word how they say "can not be replaced", to just "won't be replaced". ![]() ![]() Thanks again Maddux!
