Just out of curiosity, I calculated the odds of finding a beetle that good, and this is just the resists, nothing else included. The odds are, if I've done my math correctly, 1 in 2718. So yes, that is a pretty exceptional beetle...

Resists are nowhere near as good as Plague's but they are decent, and all round it is the best beetle I have ever tamed. I am trying to improve on it so I can sell it, as I need the gold for a special purchase, but so far no luck. I've come close with a couple, but I have found nothing better imo.

Ahh, I was thinking he meant.. that the Hiryu has a nasty damaging dismount. I just wanted to be certain before I ever tried it. Because my happy !!! would definatlely have been on my ethie.

I pair him together with Melanie, my bake, for pvp. Now that Melanie is fully trained they are doing quite well.



I took them out yesterday and ambushed Martell and ReDiKuLoUs (spelling and combination of upper and lower case are probably wrong...). Then the two of them got together with someone else and nailed me. It was kinda my fault though. I was hidden, and I knew they were coming for me, and that they knew where I was, but did I move? I just sat there until they were prepared and revealed me. Not one of my brighter moments...

edit: The more I look at Plague, the more I like him. He may well be better than the other two in my top three ever. That 170 dexterity hasn't been mentioned yet, but that is max for a beetle as well, and that is a very big deal on a beetle.

Here are the stats of my Rune Beetle, waiting in the stables.

It is because the hiryu speed adjusts to it's target. If you are mounted it moves at you at paragon speed. If you are not, it walks much slower. And when damaged down for taming, it moves slower yet. However, even if damaged, and you are mounted, it will still nip you quite often.

The only thing that isn't fantastic about this beetle is its hit points and fire resist could be a bit higher, but they are still not bad. Everything else about this beetle is either very good, or exceptional. It is incredibly hard to find rune beetles with this combination of strength, dexterity, intelligence, resists, and close to maximum poisoning and evaluate intelligence.

Sheltem and Llewen those are both nice bugs
