 | What is this book? I found a book in my pack called the Shattering by Nystul. I recognize that name as some wizard chick in the story line, but what is this random book doing in my pack? |

 | Re: What is this book? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it has something to do with one of the past story lines. Everyone received one with a patch that went through after ML came out. Many just dropped the book on the floor at the bank. I haven't found a use for mine except deco :grin:   |

| Re: What is this book? The Shattering appeared in bank boxes around the time of UO:ML, if I remember correctly. Every character got one in his/her bank box. Most people promptly threw them away.  The book appears to be a recap of the basic UO history line, i.e., the shattering of the Gem of Immortality. The devs saw it as a way to introduce the newer generation of players to UO history so that they would appreciate the current in-game story line. Perhaps the books would have been more valued if the devs had announced a future trade-in for those who kept the books. I have done so myself, and I guess I've been snookered into wasting bank box space by keeping them.   |
