whats the pro's and con's for being a human/elf ninja.

is there one thats much better than the other? any preferences, please reply

I prefer humans because of their weight capacity but that is about it. Having night site 247 as a elf is nice too

+5 to Energy Resist Cap (75 Max)
24/7 Night Site
Better % chance to get gems/colored ore when mining & colored wood when LJing
Wear armor not accessible to Humans
Can tame Cu Sidhe (sp?)
Better chance to detect hidden/stealthed player passively

Human + JOAT =
20 Magery = carry a spellbook and 2 regs = Night Site.
20 Hiding = Small % to Hide if/when needed
20 Med + 20 Focus = 3 Mana Regen/2 Stamina Regen (med armor required)
20 to all weapon skills = Lower Mana Cost for weapon special moves
20 to detect hidden = better chance to detect hidden/stealthed player passively
+2 Health Point Regen
More carrying weight capacity

I turned a couple characters into elves when they first came out and have regretted it since. The 'jack of all trades' of the humans is great. The only thing the elves have is 75 max energy resist.

One of my favorite fighters is noticeably weaker than he was before UO:ML and horrible compared to the improved humans since UO:ML.

My tamer wears the boots of the cu sidhe so he can't tame a cu but can use one.

But I am biased. Perhaps someone that likes elves can give you some good elf advice.

I'm thinking of making my ninja this build, but I still don't really know what I'm doing yet.

Upon creating a character from the ninja template and looking at my skills after the first couple kills, I see I have some parrying. Is this an essential skill for ninja's or can I lower it?

Oh, I was told you don't need more than 80 hiding so I was advised to choose between chivalry and magery for transportation. I got dc'd before I could finish the conversation, but what is this chivalry/tithing? (maybe thats not the right term, but it should be close) so that you don't have to carry regs?

I'm interested in the best means of travel for the few amount of weight/skill points needed.

Does anybody prefer one over the other or know a better way?

Go with Chivalry for travelling (Sacred Journey), just have to have a Mage mark the runes for you.

Tithing is done at shrines and costs gold (has to be in your pack, does not take from bank). The Chiv book will tell you how much each spell "costs" mana & tithing wise and Lower Reagent Cost and Lower Mana Cost properties on armor/jewels do effect these.

Edit: As per your question regarding Parry, any skill that is not marked down or locked will go up if it is used, I'll assume you didn't go through all skills you don't plan on using and change them to down or locked so parry went up as you fought.

Also looking at your stats I'd suggest finding some way (changing other stats or items) to get to atleast 100 Dex for faster healing.

Looking at your skills some tweaking can be done with Tactics & Anatomy (if you feel you need the HP bump with Healing keep Anatomy where it's at) lowering to 100 and using those skill points elsewhere (Stealth).

Archer is better as an elf if you are considering making one
