First off I had a great time, as usual, meeting folks from the game and putting a face to the player.

Some of the highlights I remember


1) No Gargoyle quest. You play them from scratch
2) No extra slots (I'm happy I think 6 is plenty)
3) Looks like Back packs have 3 different fiews (pix below)
4) Absolutely coded KR for 56k dialup us
5) Punkbuster is dead, but they are doing things within the client to curb illegal activites. No info will be really released as it's considered a security thing and the best security is for the perp not to know what he's up against.
6) New password security features is in the works.
7) Beta will be coming along soon, although it is later than they thought. Some folks won beta entry (How a woman can tell her actual age in public is beyond me, I thought that was against Woman's law! Cost me a beta spot as the oldest person there!! )
8) Longest distance traveled to event was from South Carolina (Won them a beta spot, they were out of tshirts so I gave the gal mine
9) Will be looking to improve the EM/Live event program some things in the works as we speak.
10) Spoke of more soulstones and possibly putting them for sale at the UO store since there seems to be a demand for them
11) Abyss, will be talking to marketing about a multi-pack upgrade choice for the Abyss expansion (Think ML 5 pack)
12 A number of screen resolutions above the current max
13) Discussions on char transfer between accounts ( Don't hold your breath), Town stones and the player run towns were held, but just informally

Most importantly. Forget the pictures or the video graphics, got a chance to actually see the game running on Darks laptop, I believe the coloring to be awesome. It really is a "Live" 2d effect. I know I'm going to like it.

Backpacks seemed to have 3 views whcih is easy to toggle thru Pic 1 shows what you might consider the current unorganized view, in the bottom corner of pic 2 you can see the "list" view and in pic 4 you can see the pack in an organized boxed view.

Aye the floating effect will not be there. Still an early "alpha" And honesgtly looks nice on DS' laptop.

Swamp dragon looks cool. I heard someone say the charger looks like an armadillo. That's what I thought too in that clip.

My only question is...

WHY no more info on these

New magic
New craftables
New skills

Now, I can understand wanting to withold information. But nobody asked? Or, if they did ask, atleast not a generalization of an answer? Something like "Does New Magic mean more spells for previous skills, or is that implying New Skills = New Magic (like Spellweaving was)?
