A big thank you (with hugs and kisses) to all those who participated in the first weekly wander. I only hope your enjoyment was not spoiled too much by my absence - what a time to get a power cut! (It was off for 3 hours, but it was nice to use scented candles on Valentines night!)


Omnes vanitas est


Our departure was delayed whilst Gorth and Anjin-san helped haul my statue into the hall of fame. Note how I've volunteered to be next to the stables!

Tortoise Lagoon

Mr Grey and I set off and our first stop was the not so aptly named water feature. Do you think this looks like a lagoon (more of a large puddle) or a tortoise (perhaps a squashed one)


Additional Recruits

Back in Delucia we were met by the erstwhile Hayt, and I managed to persuade a young innocent passer by (Griffin) to also join us. But Hayt was keen to impress us with his superman impression, forgetting only to change in a telephone kiosk..



To the City of the Dead

Hayt and Mr Grey seemed to know a short cut to this location, reputedly north of Delucia. The four of us set off, and I managed to snap this action shot shortly before losing contact with my voices.



What happened next?

Er, I feel rather like a novelist, who has written a title and a first paragraph and then expects her publisher to fill in the blanks. Perhaps someone can tell us if you managed to reach the City of the Dead. My aim was to fill in a runebook with all these exciting locations but I only managed two pages. Ohh well, there is always next week....

What needs to be done is a spam across icq to all SCT members about 15 mins before the event . If that could be done it would help remind people the event is happening.

What Happened Next

Callum appeared as if by magic at exactly the same location as Roxanne had vacated a millisecond earlier giving further grist to the rumour that the two are in fact the same person.

The Land of the Dead

Callum Graham Hayt and Griffin laid seige to the Savage Fort for some time attempting to clear it out.

Hayt fell over a few times and got a little muddy being knocked off his horse a few times. He seems to need a few lessons in how to swing a sword more succesfully.

Graham as ever was solid and dependeble and the young Griffin seemd happy to shout "that nuff now" and set his Nightmare to attack the foes.

For an old man Callum seemed for once to hold his reins tight and wade through the Savages reasonably succesfully.

Orcs!

Being attacked by a small tribe of Orcs east of the Savages the Courtiers aquitted themselves well.

Float, Float On

Hayt Callum and Graham went their seperate ways in the Lost Lands - drifitng like drifty things.

Boing

It was a special day in the land of the real and so "Boing!" said Zebedee and the three wearisome boys made their way to another world and snuggled up with respective snugglees and the world was at peace.

Being attacked and beaten senseless by savages was a timely reminder of what fate would await me if I didn't log off and spend some time with my loved one on Valentine's day eve - so shortly after the fight I left Sosaria.

( ... and I didn't fall over ... I was pushed!!)

Sounds like an interesting wander through old locations... So, who was the most successful explorer this time round?

I'm beginning to think we should have an award for the most daring staying alive feats...

Just a reminder that we will be continuing our wanderings east of Delucia this evening from 7.30. I'm planning on investigating an abandoned temple and also a blackrock area near the world's edge. Don't bring anything you don't want to lose (just in case). I will be gating to Vinamar every ten minutes or so. My daughter will also be around...

Some more pictures from Last Night's Event. Roxette feels that there are few areas left uncovered.... We did not manage to reach the lighthouse by foot, and I couldn't remember how to launch a boat in the Lost Lands...
