Unfortunately, they said yes, they were adding elven headgear instead of making it a circlet.

Personally...I think that's a bummer. But then, I wish all craftsmen had the ability to transmute one item into another...if you like the stats on a kasa of the ra-jin but don't want to look like a Vietnamese rice farmer you could pay a craftsman to transmute it into some kind of headgear that matches your suit. It would be something for craftsmen to do and would let people put together armor that doesn't make them look like a circus reject or a homeless scavenger.

[i]well the only reason that they had the "conversion" at all is that they lost the original hat models (from the original UO release) and didnt feel like editing thousands upon thousands of individual frames of animations to get them to look right, so i dont doubt for a second that this will change and everyone will have the same hats

i believe 3D already doesnt have said conversion....? [i]

Forgive the lateness of the reply - i did a lot of internal inquiries about this first.

KR is mainly about a graphics/UI/New user experience upgrade. Yes, this is a graphics issue. However, the Jury has not made a decision on this just yet at this particular time of KR development

The Circlet question is really more of a question for Design, not art. It was in the design of UOML that elves would wear circlets when human helms were adorned.


Unfortunately, I don't think anyone knows if this design will be altered for UOKR.

The circlet I could live with. But on my elf my bunny ears look like a bad bicycle helmet!!!!!

It would be nice if it was an option. Personally, I don't like the look of most of the hats/helms, so I am happy when they change on my elf.

I love the circlets! Whatever helm I have on my elf now (maybe it's the aegis of grace?) shows up as the actual helmet, and i hate it Headgear is generally ugly! Keep the circlets! *starts chanting*
