A Walk through our shard,i need a moonfire brew now.

As i walk about the lands i sense a evil, a feeling of neglect and disarray...
The looks, the stares, the silence in this land is great, the people have been bewitched... Where i seek compaionships and informations i find dusty riddles & confused cryiers.... And what of these ones who provide this? Where have the people gone? Where has the Soul of this shard been sucked to? What depths must be uncovered to find a way to restore what was? to many guilds are to caught up in there own wars and events i presume.mayhaps one of the remaining guilds that has loyalty and time left will take up the stand... allthough i assume This quest of late takes up the time of most i presume. but in my travels i find but a few who take up the cause. Perhaps the RBG could help but as they have disbanded been bewitched, who knows... I am starting to think that our Group Leader Hazel has been kiddnapped by another shard.( I miss masara).
Sigh i would go join PAS but KD has a problem with mages who res his enemys lol.

So i Short i feel that Sonoma is a slowly dieing shard. Am i wrong? Where are you Sonoma and what are you doing? Post about it Create events about it, Fill every Shard realted calender with your goings on and Post at UO.com too..prove me wrong ok? I would do it my self but you know what i honestly feel it is your turn...

I'd have to agree on certain aspects, Sonoma is dying. Me? I'm personally out doing PvP with my guild, sometimes at Destard, sometimes at Brit gate -- depends on the day.

There are people out there, you just wont find the real community at the luna bank. I am with my guild and friends daily, role playing, doing old fashion dungeon crawls etc(we were doing it before this book of truth thing came). Sometimes we just sit at the inn and tavern and just hang out, sometimes we hunt.

Your wrong, its not dieing, Sonoma was dead a long time ago, when the item ****** took it over. Thats why the true pvpers and role players left, because no one had sense enough to stand up and run them off. Those that didnt move to another shard left all together and we are left with those who struggle on in hopes of the old days and friends returning. Myself I have faith, faith that sonoma will return to its glory but it needs help and people have to come together to do that. There are real pvpers out there that dont belong to a super uber alliance and there are real role players out there but because they dont belong to darkmoor or pas or something they dont count.

People have to look past the fel/tram line and look deeper then a guild tag to have community. Some choose not too, some choose to let their egos drive them rather then true purpose. Sure you can run off to an EM event and claim to role play but in the end its that cool shiny thing you have on while your hanging out at luna made you do it. You can dress up in uber gear and run around fel claiming to be a pvp'er but just because you look the part dont make you the part.

You know whats wrong with sonoma? Most of the people that everyone looks up to who claim to be helping are not helping, they are more part of the problem then the solution. Numbers dont make guilds, people do. It's not the quantity of those people its the quality...

Rarely if ever do I speak out but darn it Scott ... the last event you invited us to was Thanksgiving Dinner, and for whatever reason you were not there. Yes, you were missed!

Have you been able to attend any of the KMR Tamers Night Out events?
Were you able to participate in any of the 12 events held during the 9 days of Unwrapping the Magic (Dec.15-23rd)?
Are you able to drop by the YMCA's story nights? (which is something anyone can count on happening 99% of the time, Thanks to Dor's committment!)
Have you been able to participate in the Darkmoor meetings with their sister shard guild of PaxLair?
Were you able to join Kimi in the Brialla's Journey?
Have you joined in any of the ARC events going on? (which Kimi Mori offered to help anyone who wanted to do them and has kept us informed about it with her news)

I understand your frustration but lets see here ... the month of January is recovery time from the holiday season ... So sir tell me where has Sonoma failed you in the fact that there aren't things to keep you interested in and committed to Sonoma?

Am I upset? YES! Why? Because out of the blue, without so much a hint as to what is bothering you, even though many took the time out to 'notice' you were MIA - and all you could say was "No Comment" - a month later you come and tell Sonoma "I am Bored Entertain me!" Pshaw I say, you have missed many opportunites to 'not be bored' and for whatever reason have not participated.

Sonoma is small in population, but it is large when it comes to sharing its time, energy, experience and 'concern' for its citizens. Example being the recent Friendship Circle Gathering held for Gypsy Keja Mimi where even though some folks were not able to be there 'in game' sent get well wishes for her. Personally, although not surprised at the outpour of 'love', I was humbled at the sincere caring about and for a Sonoma player. Even from players who have never had the opportunity to meet her in game.

So Scott, its not that folks aren't trying, or that folks are doing things to 'entertain' a paticular player, its a matter of people being able to attend or sometimes even remembering to come. I'm sorry you feel this way and yet at the same time I feel it is out of place. There are many folks on Sonoma who do put together events for all to enjoy and many others like Leurnid Hand who present ideas for us to discuss and think about doing. Also, I know there are player ran events coming soon for Sonoma and I hope you will be able to attend a few.

As for the EM, it is my understanding that their 'cycle' is going on and yes it is also a matter of waiting to see what happens next. I miss Masara too but at the same time I know you did enjoy the few events that Hazel did before their 'contract' ran out for the season.

here is a little about me, i have play exculsively on sonoma for well over 99 months now... just because i dont show up at some thing as sir scott does not mean i did not go,or had some one i know go... Or perhaps i went as a ghost.

Perhaps i am a bit hastey to demand that some one do something interesting in regards to entertainment. but hey thats me... i know i have had many events in the past that "No one" even bothered to show up for. And that is mostly of late... but at least i tried to make a go of it... Hence my post of this day... There are plent of people who could pull togther and create a better shard for tomorrow. I seek this to happen.

Sorry if i am disliked or am disregarded in this matter as wrong but i live here on sonoma exclusively and i seek change... From who it matters not.
I have done a fair share of it and Basicly am passing the Buck to another...
I wonder if anyone withh have it in them to step up and show me i am wrong.

Your absolutely right, and if that is the case then I really don't understand how you can say you have been bored. Finally, I managed to 'catch my breath' this past week from all that Sonoma folks have done over the last couple of months.

I do understand that the Sonoma sparkle has dulled in some ways, but everyday it still shines and I for one try to dust and polish it to the best of my ability by sharing (talking) with those who are trying to do the same for Sonoma. I still look forward to logging in everyday and 'chatting' with others and from these 'chats' we somehow develop ideas that bring more fun (events) for Sonoma.

Whoa there ... don't you see, that is why I was upset in the first place!! You are liked and certainly your not being disregarded, otherwise none of us would have said anything!! You have been a confidant to me over the years and I have respected your input many times. So where that is coming from I have no idea.

We all seek change, that is why we try to share the fun of 'living' on Sonoma. We learn from each experience, good and bad, then build upon that foundation. (Dor taught me that one.) If we all gave up on sharing our ideas, time, energy, then yes the foundation would crumble, and as far as I can tell that isn't going to happen for a very long time.

Bottom line is - in order to have a performance, you have to have an audience. It is up to you which role you want to play.

Scott, did u participate in the Lord British Trial? Did you participate in the holiday events? Have you participated when PAS did King of the Hill? When we did Gold Caravans? When Queen Mum and others did the various festivals all year?

Dont try to tell me that Sonoma is dead .... u have that wrong ... your "community" may be dead, mines working overtime to keep up with the fun things happening every single night, without a miss. And even though we do events every night, PAS still helps provide shard events for your "community" .. the problem is your "community" never shows up for them, ever.

You are so out of touch with todays Sonoma players. PAS has 229 active players now, your "community" has about 30.

PAS is active EVERY night ingame, we do 1-3 events every night ... we have anywhere from 12-40 players show up for our various events, different folks all the time. We represent not just PAS, but have now formed a stone alliance with KVP, THB, KMG, TCoB, and several other stones.

We represent a much higher percentage of the true Sonoma community than your "community" does.

Hell the top 7 or 8 active red guilds are far more active than the "community" you refer to.

Your "community" is dead, Scott ... but ours flourishes. So dont be spreading false rumors ... my folks read your post and they just laughed and shook their heads. I have a hard time squeezing enough events into our calendar to try to accomodate all the requests.

Sonoma is far from dead, its a fricken BLAST to be here playing!

honestly imo KD you do for "PAS" period. is what it is that you do. Yes thats right i am refefing to the community at large. and no i do not attend pas events as you have told your guild to shun me and label me as a greifer. and to honestly tell the truth i would rather not have you reply to any messages that i post to be totaly honest with you. so thats all i have to say to you about it.
