Interior Designing

Was gonna start customizing my house on LA but I have never done it before. I just want to get the exterior done and have just open rooms on each floor for now. Can I do that and design each floor later?

Re: Interior Designing

Yes you can, just be aware that there are some items that if placed in a house will need to be removed prior to re-customizing (i.e. fish tanks, elven containers, fountain of life to name a few).

Re: Interior Designing

Then you are all set to start designing.... If you already have crates or chests there and secured they should remain during the build, if anything appears to be missing check the moving crate from your house sign

Re: Interior Designing

What Rascal said!

A lot of the deeded containers will block customization, but regular containers should be fine - as long as you don't change the location of walls in such a way that those containers become blocked. (They'll move to your moving crate if that happens).

Re: Interior Designing

Two things come to mind

- Teleporters - When I designed my 1st house I made the mistake of putting the same Tele on each floor which bounced me around to a random floor. You need a different set for each floor.

- It cost gold every time you make a change, regardless if your just correcting some and moving the same amount of tiles around (which I think should be free if its the same amount of tiles!) So you might want to review your design, maybe save it a few times before you commit.

Re: Interior Designing

Different tiles cost different amounts. So you never actually lose gold when you redesign your house. Sometimes you'll get refunded for different designs, sometimes it'l cost you gold. A decent sized house typically costs around 750k to design. Going off the last one I did. It all depends on how many floor tiles and walls you place.

Re: Interior Designing

Hmmm even my 18x18 was less than 400k to design (the one on LA now). I must use cheap tiles

They did change that rule, Snuggs, it no longer costs each time you go in. Only have to pay if you add additional tiles.
