SDI question

I know you can max out at 15% SDI from items. How much SDI does Inscription give you at 100 inscription and does that count against your SDI cap from items?

It gives 10% and is above the 15% cap. Since PvP is the only place a SDI cap is in place.

no inscription will not count against your SDI total. So you can still go and get your 15% from items, then GM scribe, and be at 25%. This is why there are scribe mages out there that can exp/fs you for insane damages.

Just to point out too, the only time you get the SDI bonus is at GM. I always thought youd get 7% at 70 Inscription, 8 at 80, etc. and that is not the case...

As far as I know Intelligence up to 120 gives you sdi bonus as well.

Intelligence does affect mind blast, but its possible that it increases DCI as well. But since the cap is 15, that is easily acheivable on most suits. Kasa gives you 12. I'm making my scribe mage with and effective 22% SDI.

I have a spawning mage that uses 43% SDI and it works nicely. Its all part of the suit anyways, so it isnt hurting any other part of my suit. Basically its just the kasa, scrappers, 1sdi on ring(1/3 16lrc), 5 on pendant.

The way I thought sdi worked for pvp was... 15 sdi cap from items, 10 sdi cap from inscribe, and 12 sdi cap from intelligence (every 10 int gives 1 sdi up to 120 int).

This gives a total possible 37 sdi for a mage in pvp.

yah, thats correct. Although I am not 100% sure of the INT bonus, it does count as a non-item bonus beyond the 15% item cap.
