Question Oil based stains...

I spilled some Italian dressing on a shirt of mine (Oil & Vinegar) and noticed the oil stain did not come out once I washed it. Does anyone know any tricks on how to get oil & grease stains out of clothes?

Thanks!

I use that Shout stuff. The liquid works better than the stick. Ive gotten everything but latex paint out of clothes with it...

Re: Oil based stains...

A lot of the time I will use the detergent (I use liquid stuff) straight on the stain. Put a bit on, and rub it in well. Let it sit for about ten minutes before you wash it. That works on most stuff for me.

Just cut that portion of the shirt off...

*looks innocent*

Actually, I don't have any tips, just like to say thanks to everyone else that did 'cause I will for sure use them when I mess anything up.

Re: Oil based stains...

Brown paper and a warm iron usually helps.I think you might have a problem now you have washed it though S Maybe just try some simple soda crystals dissolved in warm water

I find them good for everything.

I never use expensive stuff like Mr Muscle as Soda crystals do exactly yhe same job for a quarter of the price

ALso keeps outside drains smelling fresh

Re: Oil based stains...

I'm partial to the "cut the stain" out option, but that can be awkward sometimes.

What was it Snuggy, I'll just buy you a new one, without the stain.
