I've never figured out how to be gracefully humble without appearing weak.

Nor have I figured out how to be gracefully passionate without appearing arrogant.

In the end, I always seem to be arrogant and weak instead of humbly passionate.

America does more than its fair share at resolving the world's problem. The rest of the world needs to join in and help resolve this issue.

Maybe if these companies and certain groups spent more time and money on fixing the problem instead of crying and sniveling trying to get someone else to do it, something would get done.

Yeah, we do our fair share. However, if you think of how large the US is, and how industrialized, we also create our fair share of this problem too.

Re: Industry signals Bush to do more on warming

China, India, Pakistan and Russia have a huge industrial system below any standard of eviromental control or consideration that the US has. Considering that the US covers only a portion of Earth, the rest of those micro-organism need to kick in and help.

It gets very old hearing over and over that Bush needs to do this and do that. PPL all over the world need to organize/support groups that can provide the technology to help the enviroment. Form groups to change legislation, and laws to enact this technology. With only the US doing the job, it will only put off the inevitable, which is a complete enviromental system collapse.

Re: Industry signals Bush to do more on warming

We may as well go invade those unenviromental friendly countries and install governments which will listen to US. The world wants US to take action, they may as well pay the bill for it.

Re: Industry signals Bush to do more on warming

Sweet, more taxes on the "New U.S." areas, and no more for us, although ours funded the start so...

...Maybe we can cash in on future debt seeing as the U.S. seems to be the only one working towards the future of the planet so any moneys made 50, 100, 1000, etc. years from now will be because our tax payers dollar today saved the planet.

Re: Industry signals Bush to do more on warming

Its much easier to save the enviroment when the rest of the other countries are sharing our political views. *eyes iran and syria for potential in nucular and biological waste dumping ground*

actually the "rest of the world" is doing a lot more than we are.. and considering we produce a lot more green house gases than other countries that actually signed the Kyoto accords, id say its about time we step it up..

as far as china goes.. they don't have nearly the amount of cars on the roads as we do.. its true that as other countries start to industrialize more they will need to become more responsible for the issue.. but to date, the US is a huge contributer and needs to step up their efforts to be on part with the rest of the world...
