I need a new shard to pvp on. I'm currently on Chesapeake and it isn't fun.

I'm not the best pvper in UO but I'm very solid. Basically what I'm looking for is a small guild (maybe 10 players on at a time) that is interested in all aspects of pvp. I want a guild (and shard) that is willing to war, do factions, occasionally spawn and raid.

Anyone know a shard/guild that would suit me?

atlantic, just cause we have the most people.

pacific if you're more on the western side of the country.

I'm on the East Coast. I've known for some time that Atlantic has the most people and I've considered giving it a try.

What is the pvp scene like?

I kind of prefer a pvp scene with many smaller guilds as opposed to one with one or two big zerg guilds.

What is "zerg?" I hear the term usually used almost synonymous with "gank" but more as an adjective rather than a noun or verb...

zerg is a huge group or guild so whenever you hear zerg it is talking about a guild that is pure numbers and no skill now that being said there can still be some people in the guild that are good but zerg means all numbers. here is an example: your guild is 5 strong and a guild shows up that has 50 members right there that would be a zerg

There are six zerg guilds on atlantic, maybe more, but there are definitely atleast 6 that pvp a lot. There are a few other smaller guilds here and there, but not much smaller. Come to think of it, there are probably atleast 10 zerg guilds on atlantic, but since there are so many they compete a lot against each other, so it doesn't really seem zerg perse, just very large guilds fighting it out often.

Every spawn on atlantic will be raided 99.9% of the time, no matter what time you do it.

can try legends? theres a few small guilds (IHU, L*D come to mind) that compete against one large guild AE. it gets pretty interesting seeing them b***h at each other on the forums at stratics but all in all, its basically what you're looking for.

Did anyone here play Chesapeake maybe 2 or 3 years ago?

Champs was the #1 guild with lots of members and good pvpers. Then there was BiC with just about as many members as Champs but fewer good pvpers. They still had some really good battles. There was also X, large guild, mostly poor pvpers, would usually lose even with overwhelming numbers. Then there were a few other guilds that sometimes got in the mix... GSC, CIB, S*L, MxC, etc. etc.

Basically, some of the guilds sucked, some were good but even the bad pvpers would try. There were always fights to be had.

Does something like this exist anywhere?

Okay, so I'm going to Atlantic. I just need to find someone on Chesapeake selling a xfer token.

What kind of templates do you see most often on Atlantic?

I've also heard that if you don't use speeder you can't compete on that shard. Is this true?
