I'm debating between 2:

120 Magery
120 Eval Int
120 Ninjutsu
100 Resist
100 Parry
100 Wrestling(possibly 120)
60 Medi

or

120 Magery
120 Eval Int
120 Ninjutsu
100 Parry
90 Anatomy
90 Healing
80 Medi

I guess it comes down to how important you guys think resist is. I'll have 80 dex so my heals will be 7 seconds but in a group, which I plan on doing a lot, I could heal others in 3.

Could I get away with some good resist gear and no magic resist?

The word around here is: Unless you find a way to offset not having resist......you will be toasted when the others find out .

You will get para gank for sure! In my experience magic resist is pretty much good for resists against paralyse and poison.

Trapped boxes work fine as long as you keep running. X fielding is big over here. and 100 resists won't do you any good at all. You'll need 110 minimum. But 120 is advisable. I ran with 115 for 4 months and I didn't think it was much better than 110. But now I have 120, its uber. Para still lasts 0.5 seconds though. So if you get para'd you need to run as hard as hell, so not to get fielded. Your first template would be good. But 120 parry and 120 resists with 120 wrestling.

But you'll need to carry a staff or the swords to get a decent dmg, yes you can death strike with your fists, but you don't wanna be a one trick pony. So carry a staff. If you get disarmed you'll still be pretty hard to hit. You'll need to work 12 - 14 MR into your suit. Stay human if possible for the regen. Someone suggest how many stats he needs, i'm no good with that. and if you get disarmed, hit ure wrestling special - disarm. I run with disarm on my mage all the time. So if i get attacked, there's a chance they'll get disarmed.

What is the real benieft of going 100 to 120? From what i read 100-120 parry is +5% to parry, resist is 4% to resists. Doesn't seem worth the points to me. I must be missing something.

Magic resist is pretty much all about how long you get paralyse for and at 100 you will never get a spell off.

yeah i finally decided on my new mage template and im not changing it...
120 mage/eval/resist/swords 100 inscription/poison 40 med (human)
will make 5 base mr with 12 mr on suit 40 lmc 100 lrc 35 hci 2/6 casting no shield 75 ep 65/70/60/60/60

Inscription is at 83 atm and poisoning is at 86.9... will hopefully gm in next couple days
