I just like the idea of using a hiryu when im dismounted and i can spam evasion WOOT!! yeah i said it... the most gimp skill for mages but im tired of getting ganked by reds running in packs....

Well, Bushido still needs parry to use evasion.

The formula multiplies your bushido skill by your parry skill, so if parry is zero, your block chance is zero (though in your case will be 5% since there's a 5% bonus for either parry or bushido being 100 or more).

Without parry you only will have access to confidence (healing through poison or mortal strike until you take damage) or lightning strike (more chance to hit plus chance of direct damage) and the ability to ride lesser hiryu that you said you wanted.

Technically 90 bushido would get you those benefits. I think 50 bushido would also let you use the nerve strike with the bokuto which i suspect you are also wanting to do.

I believe you're correct about 90 bushido always letting you use nerve strike. That's a true statement.

The new proposal sure is light on mana regeneration, however. I humbly think you will find your mana pool problematical.

Also with 90 bushido your lightning strike won't give you many criticals, but it will still give you the maximum hit chance which is a big part of the benefit.

You've gotta play what's fun to you, so if you like your proposed template, do go for it and try it. But I recommend at least you do the poison part last so you can see how you like gm or less meditation.

I think even GM meditation is light recovery for a mage
