Keep'em coming, and I forgot, some (I believe the blue ones) NPC's will say something along the lines of "Hey, I have a question for you." or "Can you help me..."

Others will just tell you you have a stupid hat, those don't give quests.

Where are you?

If you are in Heartwood (Elf city) I think 90% of people are quest givers.

Most of the time, the blue names that give quests are "Escort Quests;" people that just want to be taken to another place. The yellow named quest givers will ask you to do something else; go kill things, fetch something, deliver a message to someone, etc.

I want to point out too that quests are a very small part of UO. they are a enat way to pass the time, and sometimes even ofer decent rewards, but you could play UO and never do a quest, if you so wished

okay i have been running around a bit, playing friendly like with earth ellies and ettins **winks** in i believe they call it deceit? despise? D-something just north of britain ((Which is very dead city)) and have gotten to be to a point i am happy with myself.. anyway.. i came back here and read this note from kettle... "Heartwood".. "elf city".. i am elvin.. but have lost my heritage and don't know where the city of my kin are .. my family left years before and we had no contact with our kin ((ooc: i was put in haven when i created so i have no idea where many places are.. story line is that my parents left the city of elves ages ago))...

anyway.. i was told that Heartwood was in Yew.. i ran all over Yew... nothing.. what am i missing? and yes.. i am Elvin lass and proud of it!

any more help would be so ever appreciated

in the midst of yew you (hehe yew you) should see a shimmery blue electricity thingy. That is the portal to the elven quest buffett. I think that you will love it there. Some quests give you recipes, which will allow you to make specialty items when you get your crafting up. You might want to try a character on a couple of other shards, skills might be kind of empty. Atlantic (my wonderful home) and pacific are the more populated shards in the americas I think.

found the shimmering blue gate thingie you mentioned in the middle of Yew **Smiles** was running all about the TC until i found it.. but i did **Cheers**

also now i have to ask another question **Giggles** i warned you i am full of them... i heard tell of another land i can not find.. this land called "delucia".. i checked the moongates but it is not available.. i have worn off my young status and still not there.. albeit felucca showed up...

as an added note i only have the 9th anniv.. however as it said it came with ALL expansions up to the most recent i though this land would be available to me if ALL were... any ideas? if it is not in this expansion.. is there one i need to buy so i can get there? heard it is a great place for collecting leather for my crafter

In trammel you can recall to Delucia or enter it by one of several entrances. In Fel you have to use one of the entrances. Let me see if I can remember them. One is on Marble Island, one (actually you can come out in two places in the Lost Lands (LL) is SW of Trinsic, one entrances from Fire Dungeon, one from the cemetary at Vesper, one from North of Minoc and the last one I can think of is Brit sewers.

You don't need any more expansions to get to it...just have to find it.

Delucia/T2A/lost lands/ isn't accessable thru the moongates, there are many ways/passages into T2A but i would suggest entering via teleporter in moonglow, it is on the outskirts of town in a building (sorry forget the actual name of the building)(teleporters in center of moonglow will take you there if you find the right one) inside the building is a sign on the back wall go there and stand on the pentagram thingy and say rescu or recdu(one gets you there one gets you back)(plz someone correct me if i got the recsu spelled wrong) this takes you to papua which is the other town in T2A from there you can walk/explore your way to delucia

O and BTW if you are on Catskills myself and/or my wife would be glad to at least mark you the runes to the different entrances or to the towns themselfs in tram, fell you are required to take the passages due to spawns etc but fell T2A is the only place that the dungeon of Kaldron(sp) exsists. just let me know what you need....that is if cats ever returns......

hehe yea if it ever returns then we will be blessed **Chuckles** i am indeed residing on catskills ((Except for today since they are torturing us)) and would be happy to meet someone.. anyone.. that is not an NPC.. even if it is just to say hello..
