The Proper Use Of Blackrock & Infecting Creatures

Greetings Students Of Magic.
Tonight I shall explain to you the Proper Use of Blackrock and How to Infect Creatures.
First off Do not attempt to Kill the Guardians Of the BlackRock.
It is like attacking the Sea, Pointless... Inless you plan to Channel its Power
To continue Blackrock Is a Channel to Power. I.E When i wish to Gain Skill i would train near a Vien of Blackrock hence to Become Infused with the Power of the Blackrock. This is not an easy Task as you will come to find...
Allthough i do wonder what happens when a miner digs for the stuff. as it is anyone can dig it but it just takes forever imo hehe...
Now In order to Infect a Creature it would Seem you Must cast Amagedon so that your soul is infused with the Power Of the Black Rock. Where and when you cast this is not of importance, how ever in my experience near a healer or shrine is not a bad choice..
As it has been my choice to cast this spell numorus times it seems that i have now been inflicted with what people seem to like to call the "Voice"
Honestly, as i am a mage i personaly feel this is the left over From Mondains Reign. But thats Me... To Continue, If one has cast amageddon One Will eventuly Hear the Voice. When this Happens it is Time for you To Do your Infections. Head to your Favorite Spawn Site and hang out a while you will then have a chance to Infect something in the local area.
i have Put this to the Test and imo it works. I do not know what the % of an infect is nor do i know if it works any where besides Tram,Fel.

And that Students is all i can put forth to you but i hope that this small lesson will be of use and that you find it worthy.

Please Feel Free to Comment Or Complain
Thank you For your Time and For reading and Responding to my messge.

Re: The Proper Use Of Blackrock & Infecting Creatures

I cast it last night with my 115 mage and *poof* my world turned gray instantly.... with body parts left to pick up and remember the self-destruction.... I, however, am not hearing voices.... hahaha

I still think we're in over our heads with this stuff, and the voices come at the most inappropriate times!

I went to a vein of Blackrock last night and trained on Spellweaving and received .2-.5 each time i got a skill gain. In one hour I raised Spellweaving from 83.5 to 88.9

Lightbulb Re: The Proper Use Of Blackrock & Infecting Creatures

I do not have the magery skill needed to cast the armageddon spell. However I have infected about a dozen creatures by simply carrying some blackrock in my backpack and walking around.
I have tried carrying a single large chunk and I have tried with as many as 14 pieces in my pack. the results seem the same. So quantity may not matter.
But I know that you do not need to be a mage to infect creatures.

Re: The Proper Use Of Blackrock & Infecting Creatures

How do you infect the creatures? Just by having the blackrock in your pack? Or must you do anything else? How do you know a creature is infected? How long does it last. Why are we doing this anyway?

You can tell if one is infected when it's tag says "blackrock infected". Also has a red hue to it. It sounds like all you have to do is walk around with the blackrock to cause an infection. Now the why..... someone else will have to answer that .
