Muldran and Alynora studied Ravida, as the stood by the Trinsic gates, looking in, towards the park where the Reapers rose and fell.

Alynora leaned over to Muldran, and poked him in the ribs. "So," she murmured, "What do you think is causing it? The strange speech patterns? Her feeling of disconnection?"

Muldran winced, and rubbed his side. "Ravida said that she had tried to cast Armegeddon. Several times, in fact. She's cast it within the Chamber where the Void Shadow was, but didn't notice any effects. But when she cast it on a Blackrock Elemental..."

Alynora nodded, "And you think..."

Muldran sighed. "Massive etheric feedback. Goodness only knows what's happened to her on an etheric level; but remember how the blackrock was... phasing in and out a month or so back?"

Alynora looked at him. Hard.

"Allright," sighed Muldran, "So you weren't there, because you were on the other side of the Wh-argh!"

Alynora poked him sharply in the ribs again, "Don't mention it."

Muldran rubbed his side and scowled. "Well, anyway. The blackrock was phasing through walls and people when the pillar was destroyed. What if something similar happened to Ravida, and a piece was lodged in her... soul. And that's why she feels damaged."

Ravida kept on staring towards the park, her head nodding, as she started to doze.

"But what did she say about falling asleep?" whispered Alynora. "She said that she was possessed by something? Something to do with Blackrock?"

Muldran looked back, as he pulled his cloak around him. "I've got to convene the Court on Monday. I'll try using the Elemental Stones to clear the impurity, but we might need to use the ... the 'other gate' to help."

Alynora held up her finger, warningly.

"Allright, I won't mention it again..." Muldran grumbled, as he turned and walked out of the City.

Decardo encountered some of the courtiers close to the main gate of Trinsic where they seemed in conversation with Alynora and Ravida. Decardo noticed for the first time that the bright blue shield Ravida always carried seemed not to be held by her but actually hovered on her left side. An interesting wonder ..... he wondered if Cherry or Muldran could enchant such a device.

They seemed to be trying to discover the extent of Ravida's problem, something to do with BlackRock contamination. More Mages dabbling no doubt he mused to himself. The way Muldran was ever trying embracing ways to help people reminded Decardo of the Oath he took long ago to always offer aid should it be required, so he began to listen to the problem thinking of ways himself and the other Shadow warriors could help . . . .
