9th anni question

If you start a new acct with the code provided in the box, does the new acct get all the 9th anni tokens too? Or is it only for pre-existing accounts?

This is what happened to me maybe this will help

When I first started me account, I had the 8th Age box. So I created my account with it... once I had it started up and such I typed in the "code" on the back of the booklet that says for "new accounts" so I typed that one in... and I got all the tokens.

And when I got 9th Age I typed in the "code" that said "already existing account" and got to tokens.

So if it is anything like 8th Age... you should indeed beable to get the tokens as long as you type in the code you started your account with. Because when I had my 8th age and learned I can get tokens I without knowing typed in the "existing account code" but didn't work because it wasn't the one I used for my account...

So long as you start the account with the first code your all good and should get everything. Unless they changed something over the last 7 months.

But what if you get the brand new account code? Will the brand new acct get the codes?

You know how when you are creating account and you need the account key or something?

Sense it is a new account you type in the first key code you see on the back of that booklet or whatever.

Whatever code you used to create the account you use that one and get your tokens.

If your account is already existing you use the second set of key codes like most people have.

And if this all confuses you still, just be like me and type in one code and if that one doesn't work type in the other... either way I think you should get your tokens. My 8th anniversary allowed me so why not 9th?

I could be wrong (and very probably am) but I believe I read that you can use the New Account code to create a new account but you still use the Upgrade Code to claim the tokens. (don't quote me on that though).

Is that wishy-washy enough for you?

Tuka is dead on.

If you put the ew Acct code into the "Redeem Promotional yadda-yadda" box under the Help menu, itll tell you its invalid or something.

I have found that the new account code is only useful for the single function of creating an account. However, the upgrade code can be used for upgrading an account to the latest version of UO and receiving heritage gifts. I figure, since both of my accounts are already the latest version, I could claim my heritage gifts with the upgrade the codes but use those same those codes for friends whose accounts are not up to date.

I started the new acct, and entered the new acct code under the promo help menu thing. I ended up getting all the tokens after a couple of tries.
