This is not a complaint post, but rather a post for the devs to explain thelooting rights on the Reapers.

I can tell you that this morning I watched the same guy pull 10 artifacts back to back, including a Reaper Sythe.

Upon investigation he basically had the same stats/suit as I did and was using a Mischief Maker bow... so... i started to talk to him.

As we spoke... i'm pretty sure that you could tell looting rights from the amount of gold that is on your instance of the corpse. My gold was about 360 gp... he says that he had around 147gp. Yet he pulled every artie on 10 reapers....

He had 0 Luck, I had little over 250 Luck... while not much... you can see why I am curious.

I have been told that the artie chance starts over upon teleport... not sure how true... Lots of other rumors. I just know that the Bezerkers were broke with the last hit thing... I'm just curious of the looting rights on these... I have killed over 200 reapers... I have gotten zero arties.... I have alwasy between 130-360 gold on my instance.

Another problem is that the Reaper keeps getting me stuck in Evil Omen and it won't go away.

Same thing here, I can't tell you how many reapers I've helped kill. I usually get between 280 - 430 gold , which seems to be about average for everyone. I've gotten 1 arty, there's several people that have gotten literally dozens.. what's the deal?

I noticed I get more arties (IE nearly every time) if I cast lots of Words of Death as my spellweaver. So I reckon what someone else in another thread said about highest damage dealer is right.

What about the teleport thing? Is this true also. I seen several people with the reaper on them letting others help kill it, then when it gets down close to redline take it off somewhere real quick with a gate or whatever.

that really sucks... basically, I am a good self-healer, so I end up tanking (so no one else has to die) I hit when I can, as a necro mage, and am able to atleast gain looting rights, but basically as long as I risk my life me reward is 0% to get the good stuff?

i mean... even .00000001% would be nice, but 0% for taking ALL the risk?

and as a necro mage, i pretty much have 0% chance to be top dealer anyway...

so yea, makes me wonder what the point is... it was fun until you told me it was pointless... atleast bfore i just thought i was unlucky, now i know i was doomed from inception.

Ditto,here, if in town I can oly heal/rezz others ,which I dont mind.I like the challenge of keeping folk alive against the reaper.
However a little 'thnx' would be nice .

Ive been healing folk and died myself ,and then couldnt get ANYONE to rez me ,grrrr

Well since Europa got the Reaper i killed tons of Spawn, tons of Reapers, kinda like 14 Hours each day. I tried it with my Tamer and Pets like Cu Sidhe, Rune Beetle and so on, with a LRC Armor, then with a 1480 Luck Armor and my Tamer got after a whole day 0 Lanterns, 0 Statues, 0 Arties. Then i tried it a whole Day with my Archer, with a normal Armor and later with 1000 Luck. I used Faerie Fire and Mischief Maker, killed hundreads of normal red Monsters that spawns, tons of Reapers and got 0 Lanterns, 0 Statues, 0 Arties. I checked thousand of Corpses. I tried it even with my Legendary Mage a whole day long, with Luck, without Luck Armor. I made great Damage, like all others but hey .. even here after a whole Day Killing Spawn & Reapers. 0 Lanterns, 0 Statues, 0 Arties. I mean i don't care for the Arties but i want atleast a Lantern & a Statue for my effords. I healed hundreds of Peoples, Rezzed all the Time and what do i get ? This ain't fair how the Droprate works.

oh my....okay did you read what Wilki said??? They are looking into it....they fixed the berserkers, didn't they? They'll fix these too...so just have some patience...you think they got enough to do....have confidence in your developer team and give them space and let them do their thing....and HAVE FUN!!!! It's what it's all about anyway, right? I mean..it IS a game...right??? FUN..and stuff??

i got one complaint

i dont like how you can drag grim reaper to brit bank and have him kill players thats not ther for hunting at all

furst of all its suposed to be eligal to lure monsters on to other players and why it all of a sudden no harm in doing so i find strange

i seen sevral players in brit that was not fighting the grim reaper at all getting badly hurt by him or died

now is this gona be looked in to or not

brit bank shood be a safe haven as its one of the prime spots for trading were all chars including newbees with out a single skill can buy or sell items for more money or less and for grefing players that love messinng up for others this is a prime way of making [censored] for players that aint doing them any thing

so can we get a fix and a perma stop of monsters in and around brit west bank we shood atlest have 1 bank in the game that aint getting monsters in it at all and since atlest on euro brit is the prime bank it shood be that one

we all remember how uo was wen the big spawn around brit was hardly any one did play and was hrreble to find ingame trade as no one did find any one
and tradeing is a big part of uo and shood not get hit by stuff like that

sure i remember the old days wen brit vesper delugia had monster spawn in them and yes i died sevral times to them at bank wen i was unable to fend them of by my self

guards shood never be turned of around brit bank ever and shood auto kill any monster trying to kill any one around bank in brit that have not hurt them or gona argo on them

Given the nature of the Grim Reapers, it'd be very hard to prove whether or not a player is purposely luring. In most cases on Catskills, players haul the Reapers to Luna because there are plenty of people there to fight - and fight they do. People die, but then it wouldn't be the Grim Reaper if they didn't

All I can say is, if you don't want to die unexpectedly during this event, stay in your house and hide, or don't log in.

Or.........They should have been coded to not recall with you, or should have been guard whackable.

Just staying home or hiding until a poorly coded or not very well thought out event is over is just silly.

well, actually, luring on people isnt illegal or against the terms anymore. in fact, you can pretty much abuse another player all you want and the GMs won't do anything about it *unless* you try to page for harrasment and tell the person to please stop, which usually makes the other person react in the same way, telling you to please stop, but the GMs do not care about any one person or group who hogs a spawn, which is frustrating in a mmorpg. I'm not sure why they take this stance but maybe it's just because it's hard to know who is right and who is wrong. and yeah, the grim reapers will pretty much kill anything it sees, so that is even tougher. when it comes to the justice, it isnt easy to gain in UO. except the virtue justice, which is insanely easy to gain.

Sheesh.. you got 100% safety from other players on Trammel.. now you want to be immune to spawning event monsters as well? Its a temporary event for Halloween.. banking at one of over a dozen other banks for a week isn't going to kill you.

Not trying to be cruel here, but there really isn't another way to say this...

If you're looking for complete saftety in a game where the only interaction with other people and NPC's is verbal.. then Sims ---------------->

I pay for my bank sitting account that lurks at wbb for about 12h per day the same price as you, so I have every right to use up as many "server resources" as I want.

But that attitude is typical for many ppl...
No, dont take luring grim away from them - if that is gone they will really have nothing left to piss of other ppl in Trammel!

Some of the 9th anniversary food items from the trick or treating may accidentally be losing their names.



This pitcher of milk WAS a 9th one until a few minutes ago.. a friend had recieved it and sent it to the bank immediately hours ago.. but when he checked it a few minutes ago.. that would be what he got.

My guess is it might only effect the milk, and be the same problem that the Admiral's Hearty Rum had when it was released (randomly losing its name), however he never drank any of this one.. the name just vanished.

Of course.. it could possibly happen to any of them.. I sugest the devs take a look at it. If you need to see the one it happened to to confirm what might be going on just PM me about it.
