Bo is on his way to Atl...
Got a question before I bring a char over next week. What is the housing market like here. I have heard there is no room for ANYTHING, I have heard the prices for already-standing real estate is ungodly expensive, and I have heard that there also is no room for anything beyond a small itty bitty plot.. I have heard the price market is more expensive but also cheaper, ex. HoM, AoF, Cinctures. I tested this out last night. I made a char there and asked how much an AoF goes for, was told 30-35. Went back to baja, was offered 25. So again, conflicting reports... I have heard that the zerg is king there. There is no room for small and growing pvp guilds, as there is a stronghold of a few guilds that ally with the other big guilds. Butttttt.... I have heard that there are some amazing fights, that there arent alot of allied guilds, and sometimes you find yourself in a 5 or 6 sided fight. So if anyone knows alot about the shard and whats the skinny on it, feel free to chime in. I am, for the first time, in 4 years leaving Baja(well just 1 char, that is) and want to do some research in a civilized forum without it breaking into a "dont tell him anything, your guild sucks, listen to me me me me me me" while trying to recruit us to their alliance before we're all even there. As the 1 discussion on the Atl board "over there" has very quickly turned to.

Re: Bo is on his way to Atl...
There should still be some spots available for housing.
Yup there are amazing fights... Although I'm usually just on the side watching. There's HOT, Cyn, DEI, COW, fighting MM, VIP, LNR, ! , there might be others. I think VIP has been spawning harrowers to start fights, then there's the usual champ spawn fights. It's fun watching those 3 or 4 way fights, sucks when you're in the middle fighting everybody. These are the guilds I usually see field fighting. In Yew, I see some smaller guilds playing, like 1vs1 (stealth archers) and RmX. |

Re: Bo is on his way to Atl...
Yeah it is pretty full but I am sure there is SOMEWHERE to place a house... I am lucky to have my 15 X 15 it could be a little bigger but I am not risking it. Anyway I am sure the PvP battles are just insane on Atlantic for the fact is just weighing with ALOT of people! Like I said in some other post, UO Pin Ball! Slam into houses every foot of the way! It is fun but your head hurts after awhile =P
But Welcome to Atlantic Bo! Glad to have you on our shard! Not sure if it is safe to stand by you but still! ^_^ -RMS Carpathia-

Re: Bo is on his way to Atl...
Nobody chased me away..hehe.. I recently got in touch with a bunch of people that were in BTH when I first started, they were spread out throughout the shards for a few years, but one guy said "were gettin the band back together" He picked Atl and said come on over with us. I am only bringing 1 char and plan on Baja still being my main shard, of course. I just want to go somewhere else for a while I guess. We heard of tons of fights there, plus our oldest enemy SI, started up a little zergling guild, took all their pvpers, left their meatshields behind on Baja, and went to Atl. So any chance to go kill them is a good deal in my book...

Re: Bo is on his way to Atl...
Atlantic is packed. You won't be able to place an 18x18 anywhere. The biggest I've placed by just randomly lookin was a 15x11 in Tram. Prices are going down in terms of items, and there are A TON of successful malls you can go to, to find the cheapest prices. Most of the people on atlantic are kinda slow and selfish and won't give you an honest price.
As for pvp, Cow, HOT, Cyn, and DEI are all allied together now. MM, VIP!, and LNR are allied with no one and fight those guys frequently. VIP! and MM are notorious for using hacks to further their abilities. Yew gate is full of house sitter pk's speed hacking, so it's rather weak there. Champs get raided frequently, and there are many large scale battles, but a lot of the time it turns into a hack fest. Not many honorable people, so you may get reskilled a ton as well. Anyway, there is no guild that stands out over the rest as there seems to be on every other shard, so in that sense it's more balanced tha most. The thing about Atlantic is that, yes, its the most populated shard, and everyone seems to come over here, but as a result of this, a lot of crappy people are here as well. Tons of exploiters, tons of duped items, no room for any houses, a lot of bitching and moaning, and a lot of greed. There are cool people though, just far and few between. |
