A report from the ROyal Guard from Saturdays event.

[News] A Call to Arms?? or Clever Trickery!!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! A most terrible crime has happened; go to the Moonglow Beer-Garden!

This was the news heard far and wide on this calm Saturday evening in Sosaria.
Quote:

The Royal Brittanian Guard quickly assembled in the beer-garden, waiting to see what all the fuss was about.
As the last few stragglers arrived, our commander Jordan Jurrel appeared, seeming confused and out of sorts.
He too had heard the call from the town criers, yet it was not he who
initiated this summons.

“Line Up! All of you!” he commanded, determined to get to the root of the matter.

“Now which of you summoned the guard?? Was it you? Or you?” he glared at the various guard members cowering before him.

Whispers and accusations flew through the crowd!
It was Trevelyan! It was Lord British himself! The absurdity grew as the tension rose…

Who would have the audacity to pull such a stunt and who was powerful enough to persuade the many town criers to summon the guard?

As the crowd buzzed, a silent figure, Lady Ethel seemed to appear out of thin air.

“It’s about time! I am in dire need of the guard!” she claimed.

“What is this!? Who are you to summon the Royal Guard?!?!” demanded Jordan

After calming the crowd he quickly learned that this mystery woman had paid the town criers to summon the guard for her own personal gain!
It seemed a thief had stolen a piece of jewellery and she felt the guard should hunt him down.

After politely reprimanding her, Jordan was in the processes of dismissing the many agitated members, thanking them for their time, when Lady Ethel spoke, silencing the crowd…

Could it be true? Was she crazy? This woman claimed the stolen pendant was made of blackrock!

Suddenly the tables turned and the hunt began for a thief who seemed to travel between facets instantly.
It was quickly discovered that the tree in the beer-garden had been enchanted; simply touching its bark instantly transported you to the exact same location on the treacherous Felucca facet!!

The guardsmen went about their business, hunting this character all throughout Moonglow’s darker twin, some finding fake blackrock
pendants and other jewls in the process.
After an exhaustive search, the guard regrouped with Jordan at the beer-garden and demanded more information from Lady Ethel.

Becoming suspicious of her behaviour, Jodan commanded certain
members to surround her, while others were to go in search of her home, south of the telescope.
A scroll was found which lead the guard to the Moonglow Zoo, where under the leadership of Jordan, a suspicious fellow named Dreskin was located.

This man initially claimed to be the Royal Zookeeper, however this lie was quickly dispelled and he admitted to possessing the blackrock pendant,
which of course was quickly confiscated by Jordan himself.
Upon further questioning, it was discovered that Dreskin had created 10 sets of the fake jewls that were surfacing.
Jordan commanded the guardsmen to search the lands for the remaining
jewl sets, luckily the majority of them had already been collected earlier in the hunt.

Dreskin was quickly escorted back to the holding cells within Castle Brittania, where he would be reunited with his partner in crime Lady Ethel.
The two remain in custody for further questioning and sentencing.

What is the purpose of such a dangerous jewl?
What powers does it posses?
And what intent did these deviants have for such an item?

Perhaps a round or two of questioning will yield answers…
