Grim Faeries are an awesome act to see perform. I thought it was neat when a couple of their songs were used for the UO and UO2 material. I _think_ they did some of the UO MP3 tracks for the LBR release as well but I'm not certain...

Funny part is, things were being pioneered in UO2's developement that people today are making such a big deal about in other, current MMORPGs. That was...how many years ago? Five? Six?

Thank God they never released that !!!!. Those who says it looks cool are clearly blinded by the vaste graphics of Ultima Online!

Well, I wouldn't have played it, but nonetheless it's still a very interesting part of UO's history. The game that never came to pass, the creatures of which were added into an expansion for the original UO in a last ditch effort to use the material, and the developement material for which went up in a huge bonfire on Richard Garriott's own land.

However, all was not lost, and the background fiction written by Austen Andrews, including a paperback novel trilogy, is definitely worth reading. The novels can be found on Amazon and the online prequel fiction can still be found on Stratics here:

It saddens me... to know that there will never be another Ultima game. Oh well... at least UO is still alive!
