I just traded 10 minors to Ihara (Tokonu) to claim aan award. I chose the "Winds Edge" which clearly says 40 MANA LEECH in the window before claiming it, however it has only 25%, which I would not have chosen 'cause it stinks. I call Foul! I took a screen shot of this just in case.

Why in the heck would anyone want to trade 10 minor artifacts in for a 25% mana leech fan that could barely keep a legendary armsman alive in the Haven boneyard? Hmm, maybe by saying it HAS 40% mana leech instead, then giving you a gift with 25%, ah yes the old bait and switch.

I reported this to a GM (Sorif) in game and he sent me here... I searched, no one is talking about it. Thank's alot!

Sorry about my rant, but this and the dissapointing 10 charge pigments set me right off (although I do like earth tones). Just curious, anyone else tempted by the Wind's edge only to be deceived and given an inferior item?

I imagine it was "adjusted" when the mana leech changes went in and was never changed in the window. An oversight, but one that is sort of painful, I agree.

Yes things were adjusted to even out the game to mage SSI so not as many uber leeches anymore. It stinks though since you may have chosen something else.

you can auction it off as a one of a kind.

Yeah I figured that the leeching adjustment was to blame for my prediciment too.

Back to the Rune Beetles for more. I'll be the tamer with a rune beetle getting angry cause a Necro just floated by spamming peace and distracting my pet. (but that's for another thread...)


Guess I'll just tuck that away in a chest along side my Ossian Grimoire (Necro Spellbook gift), both seem likley not to be used anytime soon. God I am a sucker for stuff that looks cool.

actually with the ajustments to the Leech system, a leech now hits every time the weapon hits. The % is how much mana you are able to get now with each swing.

Meaning every successful attack that you do damage with you will recieve 25% mana of the creatures mana.

B4 the system with those fans being 40% that was a 40% chance to mana leech with each hit, instead of mana leeching every time you only had a 40% of chance of mana leeching with each successful hit. So there are times that you'll hit that you don't get mana at all on a successful hit.

I would rather get 25% all the time, more then a chance of getting random amount of mana 40% of the time.

That's kinda cool that a GM would direct you here of all places. In any case, Wind's Edge and Darkened Sky are the worst Tokuno Majors. I would suggest not getting them, unless you're a collector, cause they aren't that good.

seems they would offer you a replacement choice and take away the wind's edge since its clearly a gump mis-advertisement of a weapon. .. oh, and CHANGE the gump.
