Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

Not to sound stupid but I think zombies scare the crap out of me... many views of zombies of them being mindless, uncaring, cold, and seeking for your brain and just totally biting through your skull and ripping it away for your brain totally creeps me out. How they stagger about and staring at your with thier lifeless eyes... thier skin bruised and showing thier veins well defined through thier skin in a very unlifely colour and still able to walk about... no.

I do not like that idea of the zombie at all, I watch movie no problem and them being in video games but how I see them in dreams and such *shivers*

Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

When I was a kid, Zelda (I think that was the name) from the movie The Pet Sematary scared the crap out of me. She was just so warped and creepy and she laughed at some point.

Laughter freaks me out, those are the worst scenes in the Evil Dead movies too... whenever all the nutty meanies just cackle.

Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

Adri - you are not the only person I have known to be scared of dolls - the girl we *adopted* (fostered till she was 18) was terrrrrrified of dolls. She was ok with stuffed animals, but anything of a human likeness with glass for eyes freaked her out.

as for me, I just don't get scared of stuff like that. but the greatest monster for me when I started UO was the great hart *grumbles*

oh, and who said they don't like vampires? wanna see my new toy!

Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

I absolutely luv horror... period! Vamps are my fav - go Siob!

As for scaring me, there are only a few parts in movies that scared me:
The little boy tapping outside the window in Salem's Lot.
The person with the hedge trimmers going across the hall at a nurse's throat in the Exorcist III.
The way the little girl came toward and through the TV in the Ring.
Last but not least: the way that stupid hag came down the steps in the Grudge (movie was dumb but that part was still freaky).

Few things freak me out but those parts give me the willies every single time.

Blood, gore... give me more but you can keep the creepy parts in some movies!

And as for Hellraiser... I have VII & VIII on the way from Netflix... woohoo!

Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

I think another totally classic monster is the mummy. That's another story that's been handed down thru generations, and is still freaky. Something about a dried up corpse coming to life, and being angry, is gross lol.

Actually I really liked the clowns in 'Killer Clowns From Outer Space'. Great movie.

Great movie indeed. It has inspired a great band called the insane clown posse, good stuff too.

Re: Scariest Monsters Ever?

It may be cliche, but I think any movie that portrays a person doing the worst things imaginable is the scariest monster. Hostel, the Saw series, Chainsaw massacre, stuff like that. I think this because all of these things could have, and may have already happened. To think that a person could be such a terrible human being is the scariest monster to me.
