Hot Topic : North Korea

What's people's thoughts on North Korea and the possbility of them building a nuclear weapon?

Do you think the US and it's allies should invade? Or do you think there can be a diplomatic solution to the crisis?

Let them build the damned thing, and if they ever use it, bomb the bastards back into the stone age. No invasions. Same with Iran. If the Mullahs want it, let them have it. If they ever use it, on the US OR Israel, bomb them back into the stone age. I'm tired of the US doing the heavy labor.

Screw that, hit them now before they even think about hitting us. Why wait til someone hits you before you hit them back when you keep telling them to keep their hands down?

Maybe it is time for us to step back a little bit and see if anyone else can step up to the plate on this one?

The world is in madness right now... I have never seen so many countries building this, doing that, lets kill over here!

I feel soon it will be just a World War III... I mean war has been in and out sense begaining of time but man I never would have predicted THIS many countries again... I figure all would want to be at peace as possible course that is all in my head... reality everyone just wants to destroy each other for whatever reasons... this stinks...

As much as I would hate too, I think we seriously need to step in I mean they have already sent a test missle out, I think they are crazy enough to launch it... they are just trying to catch us off guard. And with that thingy in space being blinded... we might not see it ahead of time and get hit hard with it...

I do not like the sound of this at all, I do not live in worry but this is predtty conserning. I just hope the defenders of country know what to do and hope to not to see anyone get hurt... I hate hearing about the brave ones go out and hear them be loss in battle for protecting thier country =(

I have a sneaking hunch that N. Korea would be too chicken!!!! to use it if they get it built right. You all remember when we invaded Iraq, how ol' KimJong was strutting around? He shut his little pie hole quick when we waltzed into Iraq. He is a tyrant, and a coward... and that is dangerous when you corner him. So, keep it well known that he is being watched and leave it at that. We already have enough folks scattered around the globe, we dont need more.

I have to agree with Adri here... It's feasible that there are others willing to take the initiative as we have many times over to try to keep world peace.

Easier said than done. We established ourselves in Korea, when we first stopped Communist Agression in Korea. We have bases there and made a promise to the South Koreans that we would help and protect them. Following an isolationist diplomatic policy is what dragged us into World War II.

We created this situation when the Clinton Administration made policy to give humanitarian Aid, and oil to North Korea if they agreed not to pursue nuclear power. They violated that agreement, yet we kept the aid coming in. Korea's government continued to pour their resources into developing nuclear power, and let their people starve and get sick. If we stopped sending aid, perhaps someone in North Korea would say their government is wrong and would effect change.
