| A player demands blood!!!!

*You're playing a game where the developers all live on the west coast of North America, so I think it's a bit much to expect us to tailor our personal lives around a timezone that is 3/4's of the way around the planet. *---wilki

Wow, you guys wouldnt make it in retail with that statement.
What happened to giving the customer their needs 24/7?This is a prime example of why this game isnt going anywhere.We all know you guys work hard and all.But you should have multi people, working on all shifts.Not a 10 hour block of the day.
When is EA,going to stop being so cheap?And hire enough people to cover all 24/7 of a day?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wilki UO Community Coordinator
Why don't you include the rest of what I said?
You know, the part about Draconi doing this on his own time, on a Sunday? I would never have thought Draconi using his personal time to make something fun for the players on a Sunday would cause so much grief.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey, Draconi is doing the reenactment on his personal time and people can't even be appreciative of that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wilki UO Community Coordinator Apparently not.
I'm flat out amazed at this response. can't imagine how stupid it would be to hire devs to work around the clock. What would be the point of this? Half the time when you would need to consult with someone on some issue they wouldn't even be at work. If the servers go down they already have people monitoring, and customers service works all hours. Why exactly would a dev or five always need to be around to work on stuff?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am not going to debate that you few ladies and gent pour your hearts and souls into this game.
But there should be devs to cover all shifts/time zones of the game.Even if i was able to go.There are thousands that couldnt cause of the time.
If people dont constantly click these boards and read it.They also will be left out.Only reason i was there,cause i was playing around running generals into that black fire.They sure died quick!
And next thing i knew these 2 guys run in and start spaming words,and the flames went down, and i ran in.Huh? Since when do most retail places stay open 24/7? And if any of them do, isn't that all just customer service?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What planet are you from btw? Not a heck of alot of corporations run 24/7 customer services ... not many answer the phone until its time for the work day to start and that is where the office is and not where you live.... gods
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm not amazed at all. Just disappointed in the players attitudes like always.
Thanks to you both. Running special events and posting on our own time. Some of us do appreciate ya'll.
(we just don't tell you because we don't want your head to get any bigger )

COLOR="Orange"] I can't let a day go by without reading the boards! :-)
Right now, though, I'm digging up information on the Britannian calendar. I've pretty much gathered all I can find via google, so now I'm installing some of the old Ultimas to see how the date/time systems worked back then.
It's time we had a working calendar, don't you think? [/color]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hey wilki you guys are doing a great job, ignore the retards that are never satisfied, btw you guys always come out with the cool stuff right before i get sent to iraq. Any chance you could call me from now on and be sure im gonna be home b4 any future releases? lol j/k
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wilki UO Community Coordinator Well, you know, I had Samuel L. Jackson call me at work a couple weeks ago about some movie he's in, so maybe we can? :-)
I like your name, btw!
*is reading the Legacy of the Drow trilogy now*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I cant beleive this thread based on the OP even made it to one page of discussion,let alone,three,apart from the fact it gives the UO team, the support they deserve. |
bla.. the customer is never right screw 24/7 support the bum can wait till morning they should be honored to be allowed within 10 feet of the product
ya I was in customer support and wanted to say that almost every time
I appreciate everything the Dev's do and am amazed any of them would do anything on their own time with all the grief they get at that other sight!
I have had great customer support from EA. Even when things were bad, such as account stolen, to late delivery on SE. The situations were resolved, fixed, and with the late delivery on SE, soul stone codes, & anny codes given to me for my troubles. I have gotten better service from EA than from my local utility companies.
Some folks are just negative no matter what. Having been a part of it, I know how hard they work backstage.
Kudo's in making my hobby more enjoyable.
There are always Idiots out there.. sorry. .. that is slanderous to actual mentally handicapped people. Folks who post such things really need a special classification to set them apart so we can just ignore them completely. 24/7 ... get real. This is a GAME!!!, not life and death.. you won't starve or die of some foul disease if you can't get the 'service' you feel you deserve for your 12.95 a month.. Sheesh! Sorry.. I would never make it as a Dev OR a customer relations person.. I would just toss the sorry .. toad.. out of the game and be done.
