#1 | | Guest | PvP Questions
I have been gone from UO for about a year now and pvp is all I did so im debating on coming back because of the graphic changes coming up. I just had a few questions regarding pvp. What are the "Newbish" templates or skills nowadays, because when i played it was archers who could one hit kill you. What is the cheap killers now?

I would rather be hit with a nerve, than a disarm. Atleast the nerve wears off after, what, 1 second? The disarm takes you out for 3-5 seconds, all the while spells are dumping theirselves on you. A nerve strike is negated as soon as you get hit, which is usually before it even wears off.

Yeah, I came back in June and didn't know about "disarm" or for that matter, any of those new abilities. Went to fel Yew with geart that I thought was good enough to survive with and, well yea, I got owned thanks to that disarm shiot. argh
Oh and getting dismounted by 3 archers who've been camping out and hiding, yea, that was glorious.

Gotta love those opportunisitic stealth archers that camp the gates ready to dismount any red that pops through or runs along through. I am sure they are on EVERY shard near the popular gate and outside fire just salivating waiting for a red to dismount....

That is also something that does not belong on a mage. Once again, i refer to my other post about undeserving skills on jacked up templates, evasion used on a template that is geared towards a weapon, then I see no problem with it. Or until they give mages some sort of HCI for their spells, where they wont hit you EVERY time, like my swordsman with 120 swds, 45HCI misses still???? A fireball is going to hit EVERY time.

| Re: PvP Questions
I'm on right now and there are two archers camping outside a red guy's house at the yew gate in fel. Hilarious.
In any case, it's so expensive and difficult to be a dexer now. If you don't have the right gear, you're toast. Being a mage can be expensive as well, but if you provide a mage with 50k and a dexer with 50k, then let them buy whatever gear they want and then have them fight. The mage will win everytime.
I have two mages as well that pvp great, but i'm partial to melee. It would be nice if the dev team implemented some sort of HCI for magery, just to even it up a bit. Who knows though, each side would debate that their side is defunct to no end, so meh.
