Latest client patches

Comment

1) If you redeed/demolish your statue, you cannot use it since your account is not old enough (Test center bug)

2) Engraving on weapons allows the use of profanity. However, it becomes filtered and therefore gibberish (even with no filter enabled). For example, assassin's blade becomes #$$*$$in's blade.

3) You can ban or remove statues from your house

4) You can snoop (and gain) from a statue

5) When changing the colour of the statue repeatedly and cycling through the hues, it seems you can get hue mismatches on the paperdoll. I think I achieved this (with all of the statue colours) by cycling forward continuously (I did also cycle back with the same results but I think you can achieve this just by gong forward through the colours).

It is harder to explain this one. For example, the hair, skin and clothes will stay the same until you change the hue till it cycles again, at which point the clothes I think stay in line with the current hue chosen, whereas the skin stays one selection behind. I can't retest this right now, since I am being told my account is not old enough to use my redeeded statues!

Also, are the caps inclusive of passive abilities or just from items?

I've added a couple gates you can use for now to set your age on TC to get around this

Yeah I believe this was the existing functionality with the previous engraving tools as well.

Nice. I'll see if this has been reported yet.

Yup, known issue. They shouldn't even have packs actually.

I have a feeling that these caps are all inclusive, but I'll check on that to be sure.

Not quite capping, but this change should help address that issue:
"Hit Life Leech and Hit Mana Leech are now scaled to the swing speed of the weapon"

Ando Lead UO QA Tester


Today's update to Test Center contained the following changes:

* The new HP, Mana, and Stamina caps now only apply to the equipment portion of the stat
* The statue gump's restore button now restores the name of the previous statue rather than re-naming it to the current owner
* Players no longer lose their statue deed if they customize their house with the statue gump still up
* Re-deeded statues now display the name of the player
* Fixed an error friends of a house would get when they tried to place a statue
* Changed the casting statue pose
* Players can now use checks in their bank to pay for re-charging their weapon engraving tool
* Fixed a bug that was charging players gold when they didn't have a blue diamond and they talked to a Tinker about recharging their Weapon Engraving Tool
* New Elven characters who start with Necromancy or Magery now begin with the correct spellbook (previous fix only worked for humans)
* New Elven characters who choose herding now receive a shepherd crook so they can use their skill


The following changes can also now been seen on TC due to today's client patch:

* Added macros for bandageSelf and bandageSelected
* Cannons now display their remaining charges
* The text from engraved weapons is now orange
* Fixed the casing on engraved weapon text
* Fixed various localization issues

K, I still see Cliloc errors on Veteran rewards (namely the weapon engraving tool, polar bear and red soulstone.. each having a different number but NOT statue deeds) some pretty crazy ones too. IE non-existant numbers in the cliloc. Im guessing that the rewards are supposed to say 1 - 9 year veteran rewards?

Also, are red soulstones supposed to be allowed to be used by any account?

Eval int can *still* be used on statues.

And statues I demolish disappear!!

I'm being told these cliloc errors are due to the way the items are being created for players on Test Center. Sorry

Today's publish to Test Center included the following changes:

* Fixed an issue with life leech giving back mana instead of HP
* A bark is now displayed to tell players when they successfully evade an attack

my rune beetle carapace on test has 100 Str bonus



I was just about to bring up this issue with the team again since it is a must fix bug for us before we can publish to Origin.

Not sure this has been fixed already, but the other day on Test Center I noticed that the Red Soulstone didn't blink/glow when a skill was stored on it.

Shouldn't it do that like Green and Blue does ???

This was fixed in yesterday's client patch, I just neglected to mention that in my last post (I'll go edit it). The animation is now there, however as someone pointed out, it's still got some minor issues at the moment.

Today's publish to Test Center included the following Pub42 changes:

* Bandage macros now correctly verify if bandages are within reach of the player

* Evasion now ignores UBWS and Mage Weapon properties in determining if a player has the weapon skill required to use the skill

* Changed the categories in the Vet Reward gump of some of the new rewards (This won't be viewable to players on Test Center unfortunately)

Also the following changes were made specifically to Test Center:

* Localized some of the instructions displayed to players when they first log into a TC (Requires a client patch)

Regarding the change to evasion which requires 50 weapon skill, how are the Use Best Weapon Skill and Mage Weapon properties handled?

Wilki: Neither of them count towards the 50 weapon skill requirement.


I saw a post earlier saying that evasion was working with mage weapons on TC.

Yup, this should be changed sometime later this evening on Test Center.

In addition, if you remain with 50, then it should require real weapon skill, not jewelery combinations

Yes, I believe this requires 50 real skill (item bonuses don't count)

as well as it should be a melee weapon skill, not someone with 100 magery using a mage weapon and that will work. Melee weapon skill being "Swords, Fencing, Mace Fighting".

Yes this is being changed to ignore Magery is a weapon has Mage Weapon on it. We are in the process of updating Test Center to reflect this right now. You can read more about this change in this week's Five on Friday.

Good question, that's what I took from it.

As in, Hard Cap of 12 MR/HpR/SR off of items making:

30 MR (with 120 Med + 120 Focus)

14 HpR (+2 Humans)

24 SR (120 Focus)

I am probably wrong.

I believe I mentioned this in an earlier post. We were using a backup of another shard for a few days so players could test items with stacking problems. After that we wiped the shard, so there should be plenty of room to place a new house now.

The following fixes were published to Test Center today:

* Removed the hit life and hit mana leech sound effects since leech now goes off every swing

* Fixed a minor issue with the hit leech change

* Fixed a bug related to recharging a cannon

* Fixed an issue that could cause server stability issues

The only bug I am really aware of, and it bugs the hell out of me, is the stacking bug. It has been around way too long, and it affects way too many resources. I think the only reason they gave us the 20% increased storage with ML was to make up for the extra stacks of everything! :grin:
