Coming back to UO

im trying to decide if i should come back to UO, all my old characters were deleted. Is it still as fun as it used to be?

Depends what your looking for....
RP: On certain shards it's alive and thriving.
PVP: I think any shard will do if you hang out in Felucca long enough.

Long story short, if you came back for new content, hold off a year (new client coming out in 2007) but if you are looking for a familiar, easy to learn, easy to make friends game, you found the right one.

I really liked the old client but havnt heard anything about a new client, i was really into roleplaying, my old guild used to thrive on tram and we would host events and such, bar gatherings, even though when your drunk you move around in the chair which was annoying

whats this new client going to do? is there a place i can read about it.

What would you say is a really good roleplaying server? and will you have to make new characters to use the new client?

Catskills (US) and Europa (in Europe) seem to be the most active RP communities.

And no, you dont have to make new characters in the new client, it will transfer over.

Will there be any new servers that come out so people can start fresh?

Probably no new servers, as some of the servers are currently drastically underpopulated.

RP--is good on Europa, some on Pacific, some on Catskills, some on Sonoma. Lake Superior is picking up a bit RP wise. Seige has a very small rp community. I's suggest posting on the shard forums here for rp contacts for the shard you are interested in.
