Why couldn't it have been a Summoned Silver Steed mount for 9th yr vet reward. After all, it is a vet creature and as Moonglow Zoo claims...mystical (perfect reason for making it summoned). Instead we get, hold the applauds please.............a polar bear? =/

Ethereals have no colors... so you are asking for a ethy horse with silver steed as its text name that you only can see when it's inside your backpack... Why bother?

Actually a Summoned Silver Steed doesn't have to be ethereal. It could be more like the Charger of the Fallen.

He didn't ask for an etheral Silver Steed. He suggested a summoned Silver Steed.

As Mandolin pointed out, the polar bear will not be etheral. So along the lines of the polar bear, a silver steed would be cool.

That said I know my niece is really looking forward to the day her account is old enough for the polar bear.

i think for a 9th year vet reward they should let you play for free, make a special forum for you to talk to the devs on UO.com, and give you all expansions for free.

least they could do for someone who has paid like $2000 to play a video game.

LOL, so noone wants to ride a giant rat eh? How about umm rideable sea serpents, though I'd LOVE to have a panther since I'm more a cat person. Besides, sea serps might have a bit of trouble on land.

I believe ridable polar bears should have been a 2 or 3 year reward. And summoned silver steeds would have been a great 9th year ridable.

Silver steeds go way back to the beginning of UO, until they were later removed. They were rare and something special to see in-game. Having one as a 9 year reward... awesome idea.

Well - somehow i don't think the GMs would thank the devs much if we went and did that.

Though i've always thought it would be fun to ride around on someone's shoulders in game.

Peasant rideables - make em bang two cocounut halfs together as you go.

The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch - When double-clicked it blows you up and anyone near you in a 5 tile radius while showing the text "Thou must conteth to three.."

Muddy Boots - When worn, would leave a trail of footprints which lasted for 30 minutes. Would be great for player created quests and driving the wife nutts.

Spider Web Deed - When used, one of the standard in-game spider webs could be selected, similar to the banner deeds.

A kickable ball - (is this even possible with game mechanics?) simply a ball item that moved in a straight line when run into by a player. Those could be great fun.

Carryable battle banners or flags - Could be carried like a lance but would have a dyeable animated banner on the top.

Kalduhn Puzzle Boxes - Solvable puzzle boxes similar to the ones in Kalduhn which when solved spawned one random item. (I think these are great fun)

Water Fountain - The Moonglow waterfountain is beautiful and would make a great decoration.

By the way, I love all the proposed Vet rewards, including the Polar Bear. Thanks Devs.

I don't remember a hand grenade, but I do remember a Musket. I think the bullets for it were in the dragon skeleton??? in the swamp.

The only explodng thing I remember from Ultima VII was the blackpowder kegs and the blackrock. It was fun to collect a bunch of that stuff and put it all over in a tavern or something and blow everyone up.
