Blessed items bug?

My guildmate lost his Crimmy yesterday because apparently it dropped on his corpse when he died. It was blessed, and my guild-leader said that he heard a lot of Blessed items were dropping now.
What's up with this?

It's the new method to rid the game of too many items that will never disappear.

I have seen this happen once. The guy blessed it, but it didnt show as blessed. That happened to mine, but I paged and got it fixed. He didnt, he thought it was funny and thought people would target him cause they thought he was stupid enough to not bless or insure it. Well, he got killed, and a thief came up and "you notice so and so stealing an apron from so and so" he was like WTF!!!! He paged and got the blue dot...

At least when they launch PB, you dont have to worry about some third party script grabbing items at the last minute before you get "pk'd"

Well apparently an Ophidian looted it, along with her robe- but another of our guildmates was able to get it back after some killing/searching.
I've heard that blessed items might be bugged as of recently, I wonder how true this is, and if the devs know?

I've read posts from people who's blessed items dropped. Including spell and rune books. Mostly it's at the new spawns, but one was posted in the Stratics bug forum a week or so before that.

i don't know about blessed Items but I lost an insured bow the other day on the Ophidians. Had enough gold in the bank and all. Paged and got teh canned message "sorry this problem seems to be a bug. Please go to the following link and send in a bug report." was so mad about it since it was an Ophidian slayer with 40 ML and 40 LL, 30 SSi, and 40 DI on it. Had to buy a runic to try to make another one. Still trying...

I have also heard that people are trying to bless the cursed items, the cruse overide the bless.
