My understanding is that the ophidians are looking for something that was stolen. In the sewers of brit is a door that is locked and can only be opened by a 'legendary lockpick'...which is what the ophidians were apparently looking for.

The shards are coming back up one by one. Made a newbie char in another shard. Saw Majors, Recruits, and Specialist Ophidians in Vesper.

Wow these ophids are tough. The recruits are easy enough to kill, but generals... they regen hp so fast it's like we're not doing damage fast enough. Then he teleports away. But after that he can be taken down.

Great...another invasion. I wonder when there will be an all out slime invasion. Maybe bring in the blob. I talk trash, but can't resist. I am gonna check it out.

Ophidian berserkers are pretty rugged

Looks like we have problem.
I have only one thing to say about invasions "OooOOooo"

I went by vesper with my stealther...kept getting unstealthed...more often that I thought possible for GM in both hiding and stealth. Plus, those Ophidian Berserkers..are fast!!!! Good thing my sneaky sneak runs around nekkid...just a scout I'm afraid.

On Pac you can't recall into or out of Vesper anymore. I ran into town, then got in a jam and tried to recall. It told me I couldn't and the next thing I saw was a grey screen.

I didn't even try to go to Vesper. Stayed in Papua last night.

Those healers are good. No wonder it looked like we weren't doing any damage. Once the healer is dead, the generals are easier to take down.

If there is one thing I really hate in the line of 'creatures'.. it's Ophidians..... *note to self.. stay away from anywhere those 'things' might show up*
