I can relate with everyone who has individuals stalking them in game. Its a bad situation that has degressed into threats and harassment in pms and icq's, which were easily placed on ignore. I wished that ignore in game, not only made their words unseen, but made their characters unseen as well.

I got stalked in game by a guy one time to the point where I was ready to swat him irl. He followed me to champ spawns along with my guild. He followed me to tram hunting spots. He followed me when I was at a bank... evidently this guy just recalled around my known spots until he found me. He would hang out outside the guildhall when we had guild meetings. It got ridiculous. Finally my guildmaster decided he would pretend to be my rl bf and see if the guy would back off. Nope. So, we all just tagged him as kill on sight. I think every member of my guild went red on him at least once.
I paged a GM and emailed them a screen shot of my conversation with him, trying to explain he was sexually harassing me. Well, I can't say "conversation" really. It was more like he would say something, and I would say that I found him repugnant and to leave me alone. I actually had a macro set up to say just that lol. Of course, nothing ever came of the paging.
Finally I quit playing my main char for a while. I guess he thought I quit the game, because he quit stalking my guild shortly after.

Yes, Just once though and I didn't think he actually meant to spook me but I helped this guy once with a problem he was having with his taming. Gave him my icq and then the next thing I knew he was icqing me often asking me some very strange and unusual questions.. Not about the game but personal. When I put him on ignore on icq he changed his name and icq'd again to do the same thing.

I had a stalker irl too, unrelated to UO. It got to the point I ended up having to move. It was when I was first married, and we were living in an apartment. One day the guy called me up, told me he knew my husband was gone to work, described what I was wearing, and proceeded to go into detail what he was going to do to me. I freaked out and went to the apartment office, and they called the police. They were really good about it all. They gave us a different apartment on a different complex they owned, helped us move, and everything.

I'd say this went on for about 3 years. | i still say you should give those candlesticks back | |

Well, how nicely ironic. I was woken up by the phone in the middle of the night, and didn't answer it in time before it switched to voice mail. I listened to my voice mail, and some drunken woman was on there. She knew my name and told me "I see you got a lot of species on *unintelligent gibberish* and that's nice. But call me back at *phone number* so I can *more drunken muttering* YOU B****!"
Wth? I didn't recognize the voice at all. I'm hoping it isn't the weird gf of someone I used to date, but I seriously think that is the situation.
Here is a tip to you weird would-be stalkers and wanna-be freaks. Two tips actually.
First... CALLER ID. I've got it. Look into it.
Second.... reverse phone number search. The internet is a wonderful, scary thing. So now do I not only know this person's name, or at least where they were calling from, I've got the address, a map to their house, and a satillitte pic taken of their house about 30 mins ago. Some kid forgot to put up their bike. It's on the front lawn.
So yeah, don't be calling me in the middle of the night threatening me. I'm a six feet tall bipolar female with a lead lined baseball bat who really HAS danced with the devil. After my ex husband? Please. You gotta do better than that.

Sorry to hear that the crazies are bothering you. If you can block that number and just be rid of them.

lol
Actually, as sad as it sounds, things like this are a weird sort of confirmation for me. It's like "yeah ok, I am bipolar, but I am on meds, and am not NEARLY as bad as that!" Kinda like an alcoholic saying that sure, he may drink a lot, but at least he isn't like the wino living in the alley.
