I have been approached by a friend who is planning to leave UO. He would like some advice on how to best dispose of his account. He has no desire to return if he leaves, and hates the idea of seeing his vendor house fall.

The account has 5-6 fully trained characters ( each being 7xGM + ), an excellent vendor house in a prime location that recieves lots of traffic.
He also has a fair amount of gold, alot of arties and marties, a significant amount of resources.....and next to me...he has the most soulstones I have seen on an account.

The account and all it's possessions are very nice and would let a person returning or just starting out jump right back into the game.

Are their still uo power brokers that buy accounts.....or perhaps an auction??
I believe he wants cash, as opposed to other game currency.


I have little experience in this....can anyone help me point him in the right direction.

I've little knowledge of Brokerage. Although, I have heard a fair amount of folks using eBay with good results. Totally safe though, is to use OSI/EA's account transfer service.

Not sure, but any buyer would probably be concerned about any Marks against the account. I think using EA's service will remove them for the new owner.

It's always sad to see folks depart.

Ebay is a good spot. or just advertize like in the shard forums here and I beleive there are other sites u can advertize the account on

My advice would be to have him write a full description on Ebay. I hate looking at auctions where the description is pitiful, and totally undesirable. Makes me skip right over it, eventhough I have never been in the market to buy an account, I still like to glance at what people are selling in their accounts. Once again, FULL GOOD DESCRIPTIONS SELL!!!

They buy accounts or sell them on ebay on your behalf, but they DO take a sizable percentage.

Try eBay, man. You don't want to pay someone else to sell your account. Take some screenshots of your characters, bank box, etc and post em on eBay, it's real easy. I'd even try posting it here if people can sell stuff, would not hurt anything.
