Where have all the ferrets gone?

I decided I wanted a pair of talking ferrets... I bought my 10k ticket into the Prisim of Light... (Nekkid, save for enough jewelry to bring my taming above 20)

I basically allowed myself to become hydra scat, made my way to the healer... rezzed... and found... not a single darn ferret... I thought there were to be 3 there at once?

Anyone know if it only happens during specific times? Or do they only spawn 3 per day? What happened?!?! I wanna ferret!

You did go to fel right?
If so just hang out for a little while. More should spawn.

Yup fel...

I spent about an hour in there waiting, then I had to log out. I would really like to know what the heck before I drop 10k on another ticket and then voluntarily become hydra food.

Griefers occasionally lure the ferrets to other parts of the dungeon. Since they are still on the server, new ones won't spawn.

My suggestion would be explore the dungeon dead and find the ferrets.

Anyone with a rune to Fel Nujel'm and 10k to enter the Prism of Light there can acquire ferrets with absolutely no difficulty. You can even create a noob character to do it, if you like.

You have to be willing to be killed early on, so just get it over with. Advance through the dungeon until you get to the place where the ferrets spawn, and have the convenient healers rez you. Then tame the ferrets (anyone can tame), order them to follow you, and click the admision ticket to exit the dungeon. You can then gate home to a stable, or if you are a total noob and have no magery, you can go to the one-way exit moongate on the island and return to tram that way.

The main inconvenience about owning ferrets is that they take all your stable slots if you aren't a tamer, and if you are a tamer, you want the slots for more powerful pets than ferrets, even as cute as they are.

You have to take into account that ferrets spawn extremely rarely, so if someone tamed/killed the ones that were there before you got there it could be many hours before they respawn.
