Our journeys this Friday nite found us in the Sorcerer's Dungeon in Valor in Ilshenar. As we entered the dimly lit hallways, we were greeted with skeletons, liches, shades and skeletal knights as well as a few other members of the restless undead. Pushing our way further, we encountered blood elementals guarding the entrance to a darkened stairwell. Our warriors battled their way down the stairs to be met with more blood elementals, gargoyles and the like attempting to stop our progress.



As we pushed past the blood elementals, we were greeted with hell hounds, demons, imps and, o yes, a balron or two.



While some stayed to battle the balrons and demons, others continued to push their way forward and seek out evil in the other dark rooms of this dungeon. They faced even more blood elementals as well as dull copper elementals and poison elementals. I have to say the Paragon Poison Elemental on crack gave us quite a few heart stopping moments in addition to a few death robes!

Still the warriors pushed forward, ever deeper into the dungeon. Upon reaching the bottom level, we found yet more blood elementals and red mages.



When we arrived at the end of the hall, we were greeted with quite the welcoming party, TWO balrons, several efreets and a couple gazers thrown in for good measure.





As the hunters on the bottom level battled, I went back up to check on the status of our other hunters. I found Lord Mark Trail's puppy had died and in death had become quite attached to a paragon liche lord. [grin] The puppy and I spent a few quality moments getting to know each other as the liche lord cackled at us.



Even in the midst of the most horrendous places, however, beauty can be found. We found a calm spot to rest for a few moments and admire a waterfall and gather our strength.



Upon exiting the dungeon, a few people headed over to check out the altar at Valor. We found a nice relaxing rat spawn to end the evening with and, once the champ was summoned, he was quickly set upon and defeated.



Our friends who had decided to try out the rat form for a bit, graciously posed for pictures (after being bribed with a few pieces of cheese of course). LOL

This was so much fun!! A lot of my "new-comer" guildmates REALLY enjoyed this Friday night hunt. It was nice to get away from the Peerlesses and do some old fashion Balron slaughtering. hehe
