![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Need Advice...(education wise) So I'm having a hard time making a decision....so here's the deal.. I've been through college and I've constantly taken courses since then. At the moment I am trained in Administrative Technology/Web Design/Business Applications & Management/Marketing. So I've decided to finally compact all of my knowledge and just get a Bachelor's already. But now I don't know which way to go. My original plan was to get a Bachelor of E-Commerce. Reason for this? I want to take marketing as my major, and with E-Commerce it concentrates on things such as E-Marketing and behavior that way. However, my other road is to take a Bachelor of Marketing. Straight forward marketing. No online specializations, just flat out marketing. I've been told to go with E-Commerce by a couple people, but I'm just not sure. The school that I will be attending has some possible career options that their students have gotten, and it all looks good to me. Here's some examples: ECommerce Owner of retail business Human Resources Manager Information Technology Consultant Management Consultant Project Manager Software Developer Sales, Marketing and Advertising Manager Web Designer and Developer Marketing Advertising Account Executive (Advertising Specialist) Wholesale/Retail Manager Market Researcher/Analyst Marketing Officer Public Relations Officer Marketing Co-ordinator Publicist Consultant Maybe I'm just stalling...hehe...I can't decide what I would want more. And by the way, the first two years of either of these majors is pretty much the same...business management, statistics...that sort of stuff. It's the last two years that I need to decide on and choose what to work towards. Because what I choose as options in the first year depends on what I want to do as a major. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That is really where everything is headed and it doesnt bar you from getting a job in one of the other areas, whereas, not having an Electronic subspecialty does make it tougher to get a job in that industry. And anyway, just having a Bachelors makes you more marketable in an area you wish to work... |

I guess I'm just afraid on missing out on something. But even at my last job interview, he said that E-Commerce was a very smart way to go. *is still confused though* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
