I received an ICQ asking if I was selling something to another player in Luna. I replied that I was in Zento, building a house. I asked if there was a character using my same name in Luna and was told yes. By the time I closed the customization menu and logged LoveSpirit (SAL) on and got to Luna...the fake one was gone. They got 10 million from the victim. They used the scam where the real item is put in trade window...then they close window and reopen it (with a fake item dyed the same way). The victim of the scam partied me and told me what happened....that LoveSpirit looked like my character and was on a blue beattle....but had no guild tag.

Both of my LoveSpirit's always display Sonoma Angels of Light (SAL) guild tag. Be careful out there!

Sorry your Identity and Reputation were placed on the line. Hope it doesn't affect you badly. Morons who do scamming and impersonations need removal from decent society.

I don't think you have anything to worry about LoveSpirit.. your reputation preceeds you. While scamming within game mechanics is tolerated by the support staff, griefing is not. Using your name is within the rules as well. But, to dress in your likeness in order to pull off a scam. I think that qualifies as griefing and I'd have paged.

I will pass word on that there is a far from respectable person using your name and likeness to pull horrid stunts as well as remind people to watch for your guild tag when they believe they are talking to you hun. Sorry this had to happen.

This imposter LoveSpirt was out again this morning...parties folks offering to sell Jackal's Collar which she wears (Both of my LoveSpirit's are mages and do not wear the Jackals). All of my things are blessed or insured...none of the imposters are. She was riding a beattle last night and a brown horse this morning. My characters carry the (SAL) tag....the imposter has no guild tag. If you try to negociate and buy from her...BE SURE TO MOUSE THE ITEM IN THE FINAL TRADE SCREEN before you click accept!!

Uninsured huh? This imposter doesn't make his/her rounds over to Felucca by chance?

Spyder....I have no idea who this person is alt-wise...so have no idea about their trips to Fel.

Thats appalling and I am sure the powers that be must be able to deal with this some how?
