PUT DOWN THE ULTIMA 9 BOX! Put it DOWN!

Ultima 9 was very very very very very very very very buggy and very very very very poorly done and very very very very rushed!

Go threw 1-8, THEN do 9.

Hell, I'd recommend Ultima IX (Ascension) to someone before I'd ever recommend Ultima VIII (Pagan). Pagan was all right and fun and all but..egh...

The Virtues really begin with Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar. The Ultimas leading up to that serve as a general setting of the stage if you will. Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny is great for anyone who is big into Blackthorn and the Shadowlords (this is how Blackthorn SHOULD have been corrupted in UO)...

They're all very much worth playing. Anyone who is also into earlier FPS games should check out Ultima Underworld and Underworld II (sort of Doom crossed with Ultima).

BTW, since we were talking about Ultima IX.....

They need to add Mexicanos to UO. I mean, then I would really be in character...was that in Ultima? Muahahaha!

Really! New San Antonio. I have an uncle in San Antonio...I move that EA should add Mexicanos to the game. They have to be short and round, and work in the inns so they can be near beer and food! WOoohooo! And they need to make donkeys! And all the traditional clothes of the Mexicans wore before the 1900's. That would rock! Or maybe not.

Ok, searched high and low and cannot find that disk I'll be forced to ask my hubby about it when he gets home tonight. And, I guess I'll start searching the web for the previous Ultimas since I don't own any of them either.

Well folks I've played this game for five years and I don't know much of the history of Ultima since my parents were military and didn't have money back then to own a computer didn't get my first computer until my freshman year in high school. I wouldn't mind them reissuing the games like they did 9. I couldn't really play the game as I can't seem to figure out the controls. I don't play many computer games out side of RTS, And games like baldur's Gate games.

I think it would be a good idea to remake the old Ultima games so they can be played on modern computers...kind of like Niles was suggesting (I think). There was one Ultima game I started playing when I was stationed in the Philippines (on a govt puter Muahahaha) but I can't remember which one it was. I was there in 91-92..which was the new game for Ultima then?

I've watched alot of g4tv and I watched Icons on the makers of Ultima games. and I would love to get the games remade or released again so I don't have spend alot of money trying to find it on ebay or some where and cost me a fortune to get them. I didn't play 9 ver much. but my computer isn't all that great. I can only have like 1 game on it at a time.
