Does anyone have a marco or can explain how to set mine for fishing?

I have GM'ed 3 fishermen so far. (probably done with making Fishers) I have used a couple different macros. One is just for fishing and the other will fish and work another skill (hiding, magery, chivalry etc...). I hope these make sense to you, if not, just let me know and I will try to answer any questions you have.

This is taken from my Fishing guide:




To simplify fishing you can use a UOA macro to fish. You can run the macro while the boat is moving "slow":

Use item (fishing pole)

Target relative location (next to your boat)

Pause 10000

You can repeat this quite a few times in one macro.

Another useful macro is :

Use item (fishing pole)

Target relative location (next to your boat)

Pause 10000

Use item (fishing pole)

Target relative location (next to your boat)

Pause 5000

Use skill (Hiding, Spirit Speak, Animal Lore etc...)

OR Cast Spell (Magery, Necro, or Chivalry)

Pause 5000

Repeat numerous times in one macro as well.

This macro allows you to fish and work another skill at the same time.

GMing fishing without UOA or any sort of unattended rubbish was one of the most tedious things I've done in UO I think... especially considering how utterly useless fishing really is, can't remember when I last bothered doing it...

Sorry, this didn't exactly offer any help but I just had to say it

One tip on that multi cast macro - Set it up to go to the four compass points around your boat. You will hit multiple resource squares that way, if you happen to be in a spot that will reach all four. It'll let you sit in one spot and fish for probably upwards of 30 minutes or so before you start fishing a spot out sometimes, especially if you get a fair number of serpents coming up.

And if you happen to try it out on Siege at some point, make sure you make the macro by double clicking poles in your pack, not in your hand, then set it to "Use Item Type" afterwards.
