Giant Bagball Twist Relay

Springtime brings the desire for outdoor fun and the 2006 Spring Festival planners have organized an event with just that in mind. The Giant Bagball Twist Relay at the Grand Arena located right outside the south area of Luna city will begin approximately at 1:45pm PT.

Picture a Grand Arena scene where assigned colored bagball teams separate into groups, and team members' line up at opposite ends of the twisted bagball maze. As the players stare at one another with determination to beat the opposing bagball teams the spectators cheer them on with excitement. Suddenly, a hush settles over the arena field and the sound of the GO whistle is heard!

At the starting point, team members who are first in line move as fast as possible towards their teammates waiting at the opposite end of the maze. Under the watchful eyes of referees, the players' feet trip over opposing team members, their elbows jab each other and snarls of perseverance ring out. All are focused on the colored bagballs that weigh more than one can barely pick up before their stamina loss brings it back down with a thump!

What is their goal? To be the first to get their team colored bagball to their teammate who is waiting at the end of the twisted bagball maze. Once delivered the next teammate in line brings it back through the maze to the starting point of the relay, repeating as often as there are team members.

Sounds like lots of fun!! If you want to participate all you need to do is register at the Grand Arena in Luna this Saturday, starting 1:30pm PT. (Registration closes at 1:45pm or when the maximum of 20 players is reached).

General Rules -- (Maximum 5 teams - 4 members per team - 20 players)
Participants will each receive a team robe assigned to specific colored bagball representing their teams' color.

Team members must wear their designated team colored robe during the bagball event.
Teams will repeat the relay course based on the number of team members in the group.

Example: Teams of four members (the maximum allowed) will relay the bagball four times.

The first team member delivers the designated team colored bagball to the team member waiting at the end of the maze.
Once at the end of the maze, the next team member resumes the relay by going back through the maze to the opposite line delivering the bagball to the next teammate.
The next in line team member drags the bagball back through the maze again to the waiting teammate at the end of the maze.
The last teammate then hurries through the maze to the finish line for the win! (Making 4 relays through the maze.)

Three member teams will relay their bagball three times, two member teams will relay their bagball two times, and single opponents will deliver the ball once from start to finish of the maze.

Relay Team Eliminations

Round One Relay Elimination - The first 3 teams (players if single opponents) to complete the number of relays according to team size moves on to the next round.
Round Two Relay Elimination - The first 2 teams (players if single opponents) to complete the number of relays according to team size moves on to the next round.
Champions Round Elimination - The first team (player if single opponents) to complete the number of relays according to team size wins the Spring Festival 2006 Giant Bagball Twist Relay championship.

Penalties: The actions listed below will incur a penalty on the player(s)/team(s) performing the action. When a referee declares a penalty the game will stop and the penalized player(s)/team(s) will go back to their starting position. A referee will signal the continuation of the relay.

Holding onto the bagball for more than 5 seconds without also visibly dragging it
Using trade window to pass the bagball to the next teammate
Intentional blocking opponents bagball(s) with items, text spam, or any other manner
The use of spells or magic of any sorts (other than Night Sight)
The use of potions of any kind
The use of weapons or attacking another player on field
The using of stealing or hiding skills
The use of pets, including ethereal mounts
Moving bagball(s) outside the playing field
Dropping additional bagballs on the field
Excessive unsportsmanlike behavior

Awards

Each team member of the elimination rounds receives an award. (Three players if single opponents).
Each team member of the "Champions of the Giant Bagball Twist Relay" receives an additional award. (One player if single opponents).
