Would my 22% inscription exceptional bonus/22% inscription bonus be better or the 25% inscription bonus (without exceptional)?

what skill level is your scriber at for exceptional?
Are we all at 5.0% even if not GM Scriber?

Don't think having exceptional makes a difference though since it is random ...
so would think it is success rate that would be beneficial.

see which one gives you a better success rate.

Haven't made them in a while myself but do remember that exceptional
wasn't always on my super-slayer books ...

My gm scribe has only a 5% exceptional chance without any tally on, 75% chance with the +25% tally (no change in exceptional), and 72%/27% exceptional with the 22/22 talisman. A better question might be, does making an exceptional marked spellbook detract from your chance for superslayers?

really don't think having exceptional bonus gives a better chance at making them.
I just went and looked at a couple super-slayer books and neither one is "exceptional" ...
I do understand what your hinting at ... not that it would say exceptional necessarily
but does the bonus of added exceptional chance help ... that I really don't know ...
trying it both ways would be using up a lot of blank scrolls but if you have them ...
maybe try it both ways and see what happens.

Well, the props on the book are based on your Magery skill, so a +20 Magery would give you a much better chance at 3 props, leading to a better chance of getting slayer on it, ergo, more Super Slayers.

I would still go with the Exceptional Tally.

I found I got more 3 property books when they were made exceptional. I may have just been dreamin. Had 110 Magery too

Empirical evidence with my 120 magery/120 med/110 EI and 10K blank scrolls (approx 5K per tally) netted the following results:
Zero superslayer spellbooks with the 25% exceptional, and a lot of marked made by books and multi - mod books as suggested by Minotaur2k!
A Demon and an Undead spellbook without any other mods with the 22% exceptional/22% talisman and a very few marked books.
