I used to play along time ago on catskills, usually hung out at winterfell or kinship, just wondering how things are doing on uo catskills currently. and maybe some advice on places I should hang out, if the major spots have changed.
And do you think I should restart my old account or just start a new account using uo 8th age. (last expansion I bought before quitting was age of shadows.)

Id suggest just upgrading your old account.

I play on catskills but I dont think that any of those places you mentioned are sitll active.

There is a catskills hunt night usually every friday night that you can get in on to meet new people

guess I need to think of what charecter I'd like to make or play,

only one I had any real focus on was my necromancer, and then all I really did was hang ouside the malas orc forts and cause carnage, Blade spirit into the base and then raise anything that dies. it's very etnertaining.

I was thinking making a alchemist that is more for combat(now that some good combat potions are out) but not sure.

To be honest...Alchemists are not so great.

There are a few good necro templates out there as well as mage templates.

WIth the expansion of the new elf village and nwe dungeons its hard to hunt alone, best template is mages for casting evs

Archers are a big template as well now.
