I thought so, but of course there is the rumor going around that 1) they die if you don't feed them and 2) will die or be destroyed if you hit them with an axe.

I heard the same rumor. I love chopping mine.. lol My blue one's 2 weeks old and still doesn't talk. Adon's, before he left.., spoke the first day, we have a few naughty words lol I'll spare the pictures.

So, while we are speaking of parrots, mine was given to me as a house warming gift when I moved into my new house last week.

However...Where in the world do they come from? Where can I get more on my own without PAYING for them? Hmmmmmmmmmm...? Wait, I have a feeling I will be paying for them with my life...

Heh.. yup yup.. I think its the swoops that have parrots on them as loot.. however uo.com states that all ML monsters have a chance of dropping them as loot. I can't confirm this as I typically run out the ML dungeons in grayscale and parrot-less. :/

Yup we've got them off as loot from Melisande, and the guys inside the citadel. I think the other one we got off Dreadhorn.

As for the rumor of a parrot dying when you smack it with an axe.. untrue unless its inconsistent. I moved my house last night on Sonoma and whacked my bird into a nice deed which even retained its age of One Week.

I have gotten like ten parrots so far, one off dreadhorn (yellow) two off Swoop (light and dark blue) and the other seven off Miasma (the scorpian, how ever it is spelled) of all different colours. Most of the time I find them after the instanced corpse times out and I see what is left. *exeption being off dreadhorn, as there was plenty of time to see what was in corpse while the other two there looked through their corpse parts*
